Bleeding Edge TV 481: HTC One review

We bring you our HTC One review, taking a look at the hardware of the device that many are calling the best to come out of HTC ever. The HTC One is an Android smartphone with the custom BlinkFeed homescreen, and the UltraPixel camera (according to HTC) that stands above the rest of the smartphone camera market. HTC Zoe features are built into the camera as well, bringing power and flexibility to the camer app on the software side. The unibody aluminum construction also stands out to make this a beautiful device, and Beats Audio keeps the sound pumping. Panasonic TC-P65VT50 HDTV review

Our friends over at TekZilla were able to get their hands on the Panasonic TC-P65VT50, and they're calling it the absolute best HDTV that you can buy this year. The plasma display offers amazing, inky blacks alongside automated greyscale setup. Of course, this is the top of the line in Panasonic's flagship VT series of high definition television sets, and is therefore THX 3D certified to boot. The set also supports automatic calibration, as demonstrated in the video with CalMAN software. Lastly, the included remote control is top-notch, featuring touch controls similar to a trackpad.
All in all, if you are looking for the best HDTV that you can buy (and arguably, the best HDTV manufactured to date,) you'll wanna seriously consider the Panasonic TC-P65VT50.

New iPad (3rd generation) review

The new iPad. When the third-generation Apple slate was announced, it gained a few new features, but lost a number. Hey, you can't blame Apple for simplifying things, right? Really, though, the new iPad is anything but a simple machine.
When Apple announced the new iPad, the company focused on a few key features that set the third-generation model apart from the iPad 2. The iPad product line is such a runaway success, that we felt it would be more appropriate to focus our review on the things that've changed or been added. After all, the iPad 2 is still a capable tablet, and Apple's still selling it, now at a discounted $399 for the 16 GB model, while the new iPad starts at $499 (although you can get it for less on Amazon.) So let's focus on what the new iPad (3rd generation) brings to the table, and if it's worth your attention. We're talking about things like the Retina display, 4G LTE, A5X SoC processor with quad-core graphics, and dictation. Is that stuff enough to warrant your attention? Unboxing Live 073: Sprint 4G MiFi WiMAX Mobile Hotspot

We give you a look at the Sprint MiFi 4G mobile hotspot in this episode of Unboxing Live. The MiFi connects to Sprint's and Clear's WiMAX 4G network, providing broadband speeds on the go. If you leave the 4G area, then it bumps down to standard 3G speed so that you can still stay connected. You can allow up to 5 devices access to the MiFi Wi-Fi network at once, which means you can use it to provide access for your phone, computer, and three other devices all at the same time.

Bleeding Edge TV 385: Logitech C910 HD Pro Webcam review FAIL

In this episode, we attempt to review the Logitech C910 HD Pro webcam. According to the package, it's a webcam that records in up to 1080p, and is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. We start recording using the iSight camera built right in to the Apple Cinema Display, and then we decide to switch recording to the C910 to show the difference in video quality. We were running Mac OS X Lion, the day after it was released. Witness the failure.
We asked Logitech what was up, and all they could tell us was that a future software upgrade would be released, however, they couldn't give any sort of timeframe for when we should expect it.

With the release of iOS 5 beta 4, Apple is now testing OTA updates, allowing users to update their iOS devices without connecting them to iTunes. Instead, the update happens right on the device itself, using Wi-Fi or 3G. We give you a look at how the process works on an iPhone 4 running iOS 5 beta 4 on a Wi-Fi network.

In this episode we open up the OnLive Game System. If you are unfamiliar, OnLive offers streaming gaming, similar to the way Netflix offers streaming movies. You fire up the OnLive service on your PC, Mac, or on the Microconsole (featured in this video), choose a game you want to play, and it works on demand. The library of titles availabie is absolutely huge, and you can pretty much play them all for one fee. Unboxing Live 069: Motorola Droid X2 smartphone

We open up the Motorola Droid X2 in this episode of Unboxing Live, giving you a look a the first dual-core Android device available on Verizon Wireless. This is the follow-up to the original Droid X, and maintains the same form factor and physical buttons, as well as the huge display. This one is actually a qHD display, providing a higher resolution than the original Droid X that launched almost a year ago. One thing missing here, the Droid X2 doesn't have 4G LTE built-in, but that's a minor complaint for this otherwise speedy device.

Showyou is a video sharing network for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. After using it for just a few minutes, we immediately wanted to review it and give you a look at how it works. After you download Showyou, you connect it to your Facebook, Twitter, and/or VodPod networks. It will then pull in any videos that your friends on those networks link to or share. You can comment and share videos directly in the Showyou app. Even better, it support AirPlay, so if you have an Apple TV, you can pull up Showyou and go through all the videos your friends have shared, watching them on your television.
