Bleeding Edge TV 597: HP Pavilion X2 review
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Features, PC / Laptop, Podcasts, Product Reviews, Videocasts, Videos,
The HP Pavilion 12 x2 is the most versatile detachable PC that HP has ever made, and the best budget laptop on the market currently. It's a true 2-in-1 laptop, and allows you to separate the display from the keyboard, giving real tablet and laptop functionality. With it you get a full size keyboard, and the ability to pick from 4 different modes for viewing the display - laptop, tent, tablet, and stand.
The HP Pavilion 12 x2 review also shows how the PC includes all the ports you need, from USB-C, USB 2.0, microSD, and even micro HDMI. The dual front-facing Bang & Olufsen speakers are a rare find on a laptop as well.
Be sure to check out the full HP Pavilion x2 review to find out why this is likely the best budget laptop on the market today!

MacBook Pro with Retina display review
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Features, PC / Laptop, Product Reviews,
Last week Apple revealed it's next-generation MacBook Pro with Retina display during the WWDC 2012 keynote. The new model bucks the trend of the MacBook Pro line, eliminating a bunch of techniques that Apple considers to be "on the way out," while adding in newer technologies that, while expensive, are certainly what the industry is moving towards. We got our hands on the new MacBook Pro with Retina display, and we've collected our thoughts. Is this the notebook for you? Is the Retina display as striking as Apple says? Join us as we answer these questions, and more, in our MacBook Pro with Retina display review.

Apple set to refresh MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, and more next week at WWDC?
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Displays, PC / Laptop, Rumors,
WWDC kicks off a week from today, with a keynote address to be delivered by Apple CEO, Tim Cook, and crew. Many are expecting that we'll hear all about iOS 6 and OS X Mountain Lion. While that may be the case, 9to5Mac is reporting that Apple is also set to unleash a slew of Mac updates at its annual developer event as well. In fact, Mac hardware may end up stealing the show, as Apple is purportedly set to refresh four out of the five Macs in its lineup, which would make it the biggest simultaneous Mac hardware launch in company history.

Sex and the City: Carrie Becomes a PC
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: New Line, Warner Bros, Romance, Sequels, Comedy, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
Carrie Bradshaw’s Mac has become a staple of the character, as identifiable with Sex and the City as Manolo Blahniks. But all that’s going to change in the Sex sequel, where Carrie will become a PC. Hi, I’m astounded.
Carrie’s Mac became far more than a prop through the course of the six-season series. An entire episode (“My Motherboard, My Self”) was devoted to the device. It also played a large role in the two-part series finale, serving as a metaphor for Carrie’s true self. Now, all that’s being stripped away thanks to advertising agreements and (I suspect) studio interference.
Hewlett-Packard computers (and only HP computers) will be featured in the new movie. Sarah Jessica Parker will also be featured in upcoming ads for the computer company. Carrie Bradshaw would never sell herself out for some extra movie-making money - remember how she flat-out rejected the Season 5 book cover mock-up? The switch is one that will be noticed only by die-hard Sexers, but it’s a jolting difference all the same.
