Epson Stylus Photo PX650 announced

Epson Stylus Photo PX650

One of the signs of the times when it comes to printers is that we no longer require a computer to make them work.  This is the case for the Stylus Photo PX650, a printer that is more for digital photographers rather than PC users.

The PX650 features PictBridge support, a memory card slot, for copying and scanning at 1,200 DPI resolution.  It also gives you a 2.5 inch LCD screen, so the user can crop and edit right at the printer.

The Epson Stylus Photo PX650 should be available sometime after September in the US for about $215.  It comes with a pack of photo paper, and the Claria Photographic Ink that the printer uses is supposed to last two hundred years.

Interact with maps and images and play media files. It can also be used with PMPs and cell phones via Bluetooth. The X-Desk, which was developed by Impressx and Engage and runs with Epson 3 LCD projectors, will cost you $20,000, about the same as the Surface.

Choose one of the two model designs and expect to pay 147,000 yen ($1,410.00) towards the end of the month in Japan. We wonder if Paris Hilton will want one after reading that she had a Hello Kitty Doll designed with her likeness.
