Lindsay Lohan Charged with Lying to Police

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues, Rumors,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has been charged with lying to the police over a car accident in June.

The Liz & Dick actress was involved in a crash on the Pacific Coast Highway near Los Angeles earlier this year and has now officially been charged after she told officers she was a passenger in the car involved, when she is believed to have been driving.

This comes just hours after Lindsay was arrested for hitting a woman in a club in New York, after she allegedly became upset when Max George from The Wanted started chatting up the other woman, according to TMZ.

Now, in order to escape a significant jail term for these transgressions, Lindsay's team are encouraging her to check into rehab for six months. "Lindsay's manager and agent have been telling her for months that she must go to rehab to save her life. Until now she has resisted, but after her arrest this morning she sees she needs help. It's very likely that Lindsay will throw herself at the mercy of the court and hopes to avoid jail time by going to rehab for at least six months," a source said.

Johnny Lewis’ Death Ruled Accidental

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Movies, Television, Obituaries,

Johnny LewisThe official autopsy report for Sons of Anarchy actor Johnny Lewis has been released.

The 28 year-old was found dead in the driveway of his Los Feliz residence in September, along with his 81 year-old landlady who is believed to have been killed by Lewis. Due to lack of evidence that he jumped or was pushed, the report states that his fall from the roof of his home was an accident - not a suicide, as what was previously thought.

"He appears to have jumped from an elevated terrace to the driveway while attempting to flee the scene. During the approximately 15-foot drop he apparently lost his balance or struck an object. This caused him to land so his head impacted the concrete driveway," wrote investigator Jerry McKibben.

The autopsy also stated that there were no drugs found in his system at the time of death.

Police: Gabriel Aubry Started the Fight

Gabriel Aubry and Olivier MartinezPolice reports claim Gabriel Aubry instigated his fight with Olivier Martinez.

The model is unlikely to face charges over last week's brawl with the French actor - which occurred when he took his four-year-old daughter Nahla back to the home she shares with mother Halle Berry and her current partner - but documents appear to show he was at fault for the physical row.

According to documents obtained by website TMZ, after interviewing Gabirel, Halle and Olivier, the investigating officer concluded, "Suspect [Gabriel] arrived at victim's [Olivier] residence for child custody exchange. Suspect and victim engaged in verbal altercation. Suspect became upset and attempted to punch victim's head but missed and struck victim's right shoulder instead. Victim returned with three punches to the suspect's head, causing him to fall to the ground. Victim's fiancee notified police. Victim defended himself and punched the suspect."

Justin Bieber Gets Pulled Over Amid Proposal Rumors

Justin BieberJustin Bieber had a run in with the law just hours after rumors surfaced he proposed to Selena Gomez.

The "Boyfriend" singer - who was dumped by his girlfriend of two years last week amid reports she felt she couldn't trust him to be faithful - was pulled over in his white Ferrari for making a dangerous left turn in West Hollywood last night and was then issued a ticket after police officers discovered his registration for the supercar had expired.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to gossip website TMZ.com that the 18-year-old Canadian popstar - who was driving with a friend at the time - was completely compliant with police and was issued a ticket for not having valid registration. But the singer didn't appear to be too concerned about his minor brush with the law as he posted a picture of the police car on his Instagram site.

Lindsay Lohan Could Face ‘Significant Jail Time’

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars, Legal Issues, Rumors,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan could face "significant jail time" after lying to the police about her car crash in June.

Although the Liz & Dick star previously told officials she wasn't driving her Porsche during the accident on the Pacific Coast Highway, but after several witnesses came forward to claim she was behind the wheel, police are now pushing for a period of incarceration for her as she is already on probation.

"Once Lindsay is formally charged with lying to cops, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office will ask for a formal probation violation hearing. At the conclusion of the probation hearing prosecutors will ask the judge to sentence Lindsay to significant time in jail, up to one year. Prosecutors and cops think there is more than enough evidence for the judge to find Lindsay in violation of probation and are hopeful that this time, she will face the maximum penalty for lying to cops. Remember, the burden is much lower for a probation violation, just the fact that Lindsay will be charged with a crime is enough for her probation to be revoked and sent to jail," a source said.

Travis Barker Wrongly Accused of Being in a Gang Because of His Tattoos

Travis BarkerTravis Barker believes that his tattoos make police suspicious of him.

The Blink-182 drummer claims he has been unfairly "profiled" twice by the Los Angeles Police Department who immediately presumed him to be a drug-dealer and a member of a violent gang because of his extensive body art.

A spokesperson for the 39-year-old rocker told gossip website TMZ that he was pulled over by police while he was on his way to pick up his daughter in his customized Chevy in LA last Wednesday for not having a front license plate. The spokesperson said upon seeing Travis's tattoos the police officer "accused him of having drugs and weapons in the car" before suggesting he was a member of a gang.

His car was then searched and the father-of-three was free to leave the scene with a ticket and a warning to replace his license plate. According to Travis, this is the second time in a year that he was incorrectly accused of being part of a gang and carrying drugs because of his appearance.

Police were called to Lohan's childhood home in Mineola, New York on early Wednesday morning due to an altercation she was having with her mother, Dina Lohan.

"At 8:06 a.m. [police] got a call for a domestic disturbance. There had been some sort of verbal dispute between Lindsay and her mother that took place in a limo that was coming from New York City... There were no arrests, no police action. It just goes down as a domestic incident. That is that – we don't have any [injuries or damage]," a spokesperson for the Nassau County Police Department said.

Lindsay Lohan Wants Attack Investigation Reopened

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars, Legal Issues,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan wants police to reopen their investigation into the man she claims attacked her.

The Liz & Dick actress filed a report claiming she was choked and thrown to the floor by Christian LaBella after she confronted him for taking pictures of her in a New York City hotel room at the weekend but after police decided to drop all charges, Lindsay revealed she is furious and "in shock."

"He isn't going to get away with this. I'm in shock and it was a really scary situation," she told The New York Post's Page Six.

However, Christian's uncle Peter Jessop insists his nephew is innocent and blasted Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan for her remarks about the incident: "He doesn't deserve this. It's amazing that her mom said, 'Thank God he didn't have a weapon' -- of course he didn't have a weapon. He's a good kid, he's worked for two congressmen. He just went to New York for the weekend. Hopefully this doesn't cost him his job. He is in shock about how the media has twisted this story."
