T. V. Carpio - Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark

There has been another injury on the set of as-yet-unopened Broadway play Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. T. V. Carpio’s name has just been added to the injury list. Carpio took over the role of Arachne after Natalie Mendoza left the play -- ironically, because she was injured while working.

Theirs are not the only two injuries that have occured on the set of the big-budget production, the release of which has already been delayed several times.

VIDEO: Hugh Jackman Hurt Once Again—This Time Down Under


Hugh Jackman may be an action star, but he's been taking a lot of hits off the screen lately.

Earlier this month, the Wolverine took a hard hit to the face during a taping of Oprah in Australia. (Jackman, who was attempting to zipline his way to the stage, smacked into a lighting rig.)

Over the weekend, it was the lower half of Hugh's body that took the blow. In the video above, you can see the moment when a ball thrown by professional cricket player Shane Warne meets Jackman's groin.

Despite what his Twitter profile currently says, is no longer an “avid motorcyclist and racer.”

On Tuesday, ‘s husband found himself in the hospital after riding dirt bikes with some friends. The 43-year-old, who fractured his shoulder in a motorcycle spill earlier this year, was later admitted into an intensive care unit with a punctured and collapsed lung.

“Thanks for the well wishes. A collapsed lung is no fun, and is a lengthy heal,” the reality star tweeted today. “Feeling pretty bad today. Day 2 is always the worst.”

David BeckhamUPDATE: David Beckham tore his Achilles tendon during Sunday’s match and was taken to surgery the following Monday night. Beckham’s surgeon the athlete will need to heal for at least six months, so there will be no World Cup for Becks this year. After rehabilitation, Beckham should be able to continue playing soccer.

According to breaking new from TMZ, soccer star tore his Achilles tendon on Sunday. The injury could affect his attendance of the 2010 World Cup, a highly-anticipated global sporting event. We’ll bring you updates on the story as it develops.

Tiger Woods Injured!

Early Friday morning, golf superstar was injured in a car accident near his home in Florida. Woods was taken immediately to Health Central Hospital to treat facial lacerations. His condition was first reported to be “serious.”

According to reports, the golfer hit a fire hydrant and a tree on a property approximately 100 feet away from his own driveway. Police at the scene say that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Tiger’s rep delivered a recent update to the press, saying the accident was “minor” and that Woods has already been “released in good condition.” He’s scheduled to appear in Thousand Oaks, California on December 3. There’s no word yet on whether or not he’ll make the gig.

Actress Natasha Richardson Seriously Injured

Natasha Richardson and Liam NeesonUPDATE: According to the New York Post, Richardson is reportedly brain dead. She is being flown to New York so that family members can say goodbye.

Parent Trap star was severely injured late Monday afternoon.

The 45-year-old actress had been skiing in Montreal when she was somehow involved in an accident. Richardson was eventually transported to Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal where she is reportedly being treated for a head injury. Some media outlets have described Natasha’s status as severe while others are listing her as critical.

According to IrishCentral.com, Richardson’s husband, Liam Neeson (Taken), had been filming in the Toronto area at the time of the incident. A rep for his movie, Chloe, told a Canadian station that Neeson immediately left the set to be with her.

The Tony Award winner had been scheduled to appear with her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, in a Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. In addition to starring in Nell with Neeson, Natasha’s other film credits include Maid in Manhattan and Evening.
