George Clooney and Amal AlamuddinGeorge Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are planning to marry on September 12, it has been reported.

The couple, who have enjoyed a whirlwind romance and engagement, could tie the knot in just four months' time, but the British lawyer is reportedly reluctant to wed in Lake Como, Italy, where George owns a home.

"September 12 is the date they are aiming for. Everyone thinks they will marry in Lake Como, where George owns a beautiful home, but Amal feels that is too public. They are looking to host a small wedding in an Italian village where they can control the photographers. But they haven't decided yet. They will then have big parties for her relatives in Lebanon and London," a source said.

George Clooney with Matt DamonGeorge Clooney has asked Matt Damon to be his best man.

The 53-year-old star proposed to his girlfriend Amal Alamuddin last month and although rumors had suggested he was planning to ask Brad Pitt to be his best man, it's now been revealed that he's chosen his The Monuments Men co-star instead.

"A lot of people thought Brad was a certainty to be George's best man as they have been such good friends for years. But he is probably even closer to Matt. Besides many years ago, during one drunken night together, George made a promise to Matt that he would make him his best man if he ever got married - so Matt called to claim his prize," a source said.

However, as 50-year-old Brad worked with Matt, 43, and George on Ocean's Eleven and its sequels, its thought that the hunk will be there to support both of his pals. "Brad took the news with good grace - but he did say he'd heckle Matt during his speech," the source added.

The Monuments Men actor - who got engaged to British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin last month - is planning to splash out on a new property in the UK city because his bride-to-be doesn't want to have to relocate her career.

"Amal wants to continue her work, and George is very supportive and proud of her career. He will soon be going to London so they can look for a new home there together," a source told The New York Posts's Page Six column.

It was recently claimed that the couple are planning a low-key wedding at George's Italian estate. "The important people will be there, but this is private, not for public consumption, so it will be friends and family only. It was a long time coming, but when George commits to something he really sees it through. Amal is the one," a source said recently.

George Clooney Isn’t Feuding with Leonardo DiCaprio

George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprioGeorge Clooney isn't feuding with Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Monuments Men actor, who made headlines last year when he subtly dissed the Wolf of Wall Street star during an interview, insists he has no issues with the 39-year-old actor. "Somebody made it like there was a big fight. I've known Leo a long time and somebody just made that a fight," the 52-year-old star told ABC News' Popcorn with Peter Travers.

The former E.R. star's publicist was forced to defend him after George suggested Leonardo surrounded himself with the wrong type of people when recalling a basketball game they once played together in Cabo San Lucas.  "The discrepancy between their game and how they talked about their game made me think of how important it is to have someone in your life to tell you what's what. I'm not sure if Leo has someone like that," he said.

Sylvester Stallone: Twitter Gets Me in Trouble

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rants, Features,

Sylvester StalloneSylvester Stallone avoids social media because it gets him into "trouble."

The legendary actor found himself in hot water last year for criticizing fellow Hollywood star Bruce Willis on Twitter - after Bruce dropped out of his movie The Expendables 3 over a pay dispute - and he now chooses to be very "careful" about using social networking websites.

"Every time I use social media I get really in trouble! I think George Clooney said it best when he said you've got to be an idiot to be celebrity and use Twitter. You wake up in the morning when you're sober and your career is over! You've got to be really, really careful. You think you're a genius up there in the middle of the night and you wake up an idiot," he explained.

The 67-year-old star admits he isn't technologically savvy and doesn't quite understand the purpose of photo sharing mobile app, Instagram. "Everyone keeps wanting me to get on Instagram. Is that for younger people, Instagram? For, like, pervs? 'Here we are at the hospital getting our back checked' or 'I'm on dialysis... here we are!' I'm really basic with the iPhone. I think I've figured out how the camera works and that's about it. I keep it very simple," he quipped.

George Clooney Laughs Off Gay Rumors

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Rumors,

George ClooneyGeorge Clooney finds gay rumors about himself amusing.

The Monuments Men actor - who split from Stacy Keibler in July - has learned to laugh off rumors propagated by the internet about his sexuality because he doesn't want to offend the gay community by making a public denial.

Recalling the most exaggerated rumor he's ever read, he told the new UK issue of Esquire magazine, "[A headline read] 'George Clooney's gay-gay-gay.' And I said, 'I'm gay-gay. The third one's pushing it.' Well now, [according to the internet] I'm gay. You're not going [to deny it] because that's flat out insulting to the gay community."

The 52-year-old star also joked about one memorable TV appearance when he was asked whether he had ever had plastic surgery and he replied he had once ironed his testicles. "So now, long after I'm dead it'll be, 'George Clooney had his balls ironed.'" he moaned.
