Bobby BrownBobby Brown is recovering well in rehab.

The 43-year-old singer entered an undisclosed facility last week and his lawyer has now revealed he agreed to seek help as part of a deal struck following his arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) in March.

"'Mr. Brown takes his agreement very seriously and admitted himself three weeks after concluding his honeymoon in Mexico during a break from the New Edition tour. Bobby is doing well and receiving services that comply with his agreement with the State of California," his attorney Christopher Brown said in a statement.

Bobby's new wife Alicia Etheredge said she and the singer's children - three-year-old Cassius from their relationship, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina with late ex-wife Whitney Houston, and Landon, 23, La'Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19, with previous partners - are "proud" of him for seeking help.

Bobby Brown in Rehab

Bobby BrownBobby Brown has entered rehab.

The 43-year-old singer - who was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in March - is receiving treatment for addiction problems and his wife Alicia Etheredge says he is doing well. Confirming he has gone to rehab, she added to RadarOnline.com, "He's doing great."

Alicia - who married the New Edition star two months ago - refused to say exactly what Bobby is being treated for, but sources told the gossip website he is seeking help for alcohol addiction. It is unclear where the star is receiving treatment.

The news comes after the "Two Can Play That Game" hitmaker recently insisted he didn't introduce ex-wife Whitney Houston - who died in February after suffering a heart attack partly brought on by her cocaine abuse - to drugs and felt "hurt" by such claims as he has been sober for a long time.

Why Bobbi Kristina Didn’t Attend Dad’s Wedding

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television, Weddings, Rumors,

Pat and Bobbi Kristina HoustonBobbi Kristina Houston did not attend Bobby Brown's wedding "because she did not like his partner."

The 19-year-old daughter of the singer and his late ex-wife Whitney Houston, missed the June 18 nuptials to Alicia Etheridge.

"Bobby Brown was desperate for her to go to his recent wedding, but she would not return his calls. Bobby got a go-between to contact Bobbi Kristina to try and persuade her, but she told them she was not going because she did not like Alicia, and that she was [busy] filming her reality show with [aunt] Pat Houston in New York," a source told US Weekly.

The source added that Bobbi Kristina's aunt Pat - Whitney's sister - is doing her best to pose as a parental figure. "She's trying to act like a mother figure. Pat does not like Bobby Brown and was pleased that Bobbi Kristina did not go to the wedding, as she feels that her father will always try and take advantage of her," the insider added.

Bobby Brown: Bobbi Kristina Won’t Repeat My Mistakes

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television, Child Stars, Features,

Bobbi Kristina and Bobby BrownBobby Brown trusts his daughter Bobbi Kristina not to make the same mistakes he did.

The "My Prerogative" singer and Bobbi's late mother Whitney Houston have both struggled with drug addiction and although the 19-year-old starlet has been forced to deny rumors she has also been abusing illegal drugs, Brown believes she is "smart enough" not to follow in his footsteps.

"Any parent that has a teenager in their life, they go through things. They go through phases that they might not be doing exactly what you want them to do in life, but they grow out of it, and my baby girl has grown out of it. I trust and believe that she's smart enough to not go down the same road that maybe I did in the past or her mother did in the past. She's extremely smart," he told MTV.

Bobbi is focusing on launching an acting and music career since her mother died of accidental drowning caused by cardiac failure after taking cocaine in February and her dad is extremely proud of his daughter: "That's my baby girl. She'll forever be my baby girl. She's doing what she's doing, and I'm extremely proud of her. She's acting and she's working on music and she's doing what she has to do to recover from her loss - our loss."

Bobby Brown Surprised by Whitney’s Drug Taking

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Drugs, Obituaries,

Bobby BrownBobby Brown had no idea Whitney Houston was taking drugs before she died.

The 48-year-old singer died in Beverly Hills in February from accidental drowning caused by cocaine use and heart failure, and although her former husband Bobby has been widely blamed for introducing her to illegal substances, he claims he has been clean for seven years and was shocked to discover Whitney was still taking drugs.

"It's just unexplainable .. how one could, you know, (say that I) got her addicted to drugs. I'm not the reason she's gone. I was hurt. I was hurt ... because, you know, me being off of narcotics for the last seven years, I felt that she was, you know, I didn't know she was struggling with it still. But at the same time, you know, listen, it's a hard fight. It's a hard fight to, you know, maintain sobriety that way," he told Today's Matt Lauer.

It was claimed after Whitney's death that she and Bobby had been planning to remarry in Las Vegas. Whitney had apparently wanted to reunite with her former husband of 14 years and the pair had decided on an intimate ceremony with their daughter Bobbi Kristina as the only witness.
