Gary instructed his executor to plan a wake “conducted by those who have had no financial ties” to him and “can look each other in the eyes and say they really cared personally” for the Diff’rent Strokes star. The odd instruction could be a reference to Coleman’s parents, whom he sued in 1989 for misappropriation of funds.

All of Coleman’s assets are to be given to “the Trustee of the Millennium Edge Trust.”

The 42-year-old’s memorial service has been postponed in light of legal troubles surrounding his body. (Both his estranged parents and his ex-wife have tried to claim rights over Gary Coleman’s remains.)
