UPDATE #2: It appears that Mays’ death was actually related to heart disease.
UPDATE: Billy was reportedly not wearing a seat belt when he was hit in the head during the flight yesterday.
Billy Mays, the man who could sell just about anything, was found dead today in his Florida home. He was 50 years old.
According to officials, the infomercial guru was discovered by his wife Deborah. There are no indications to believe that any foul play was involved.
Just yesterday, Billy was onboard a US Airways flight that took a hard landing at the Tampa International Airport. Although several passengers did receive minor bumps and bruises, it’s not known whether Mays’ death could have been related to that incident.
The man who sold everything from Orange Glo to OxiClean had been appearing on the Discovery Channel with fellow marketer Anthony Sullivan. Pitchmen is next scheduled to air this Wednesday at 10:00.

Although Barack Obama was the most watched person over the five major networks (a combined 26.3 million watched him on CBS, FOX and NBC), Game 5 of the World Series was the most-watched event on one network last night. And while it still lagged behind the political infomercial, Pushing Daisies did get a nice bump from bored voters.
8pm
- Approximately 9.8 million watched Barack Obama on NBC (3.0/8 in 18-49).
- CBS (2.3/6) took in 8.6 million for the political spot.
- FOX had 7.9 million (2.8/8) watching the infomercial on its network.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (7.6 million, 2.2/6) lost 400,000.
- Pushing Daisies (6.8 million, 2.2/6) rose by 1.1 million.
- America’s Next Top Model (3.9 million, 2.0/6) was off by 500,000.

Barack Obama Makes His Statement
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Specials, CBS, FOX, NBC, Editorial, Video,
In a highly presidential fashion, democratic White House contender Barack Obama bought up thirty minutes of network TV time (on several stations, no less) to directly address the American public he hopes to win over. It was all very State of the Union - and incredibly politically savvy. But did his message strike a chord with viewers?
Replete with clips of Obama’s more moving speeches and statements from fellow Democrats along with high-ranking CEOs and others, the half-hour infomercial put Barack right into the living rooms of U.S. voters. There was no stage, there were no other candidates jockeying for position or good sound bites; there was no Sarah Palin or John McCain. It was, all in all, one of the best aspects of the entire campaign season thus far.
