Now that we’re only one week away from the start American Idol, it’s time to resurrect one of television’s most hotly-debated topics: “How will Ellen DeGeneres do as a judge?”

Well - based on this photo, she definitely looks the part…but then she is, of course, a CoverGirl spokesmodel. But how would she look as part of the group? Check out the photo after the jump and decide.

Okay - well that photo looks completely fake. So maybe there’s just no way to predict. I guess we’ll just have to wait until Ellen finally appears in February to see how Season 9 will gel.

Until then, a note to the Idol producers out there: You might want to get rid of the Paula Abdul pic still posted on the front page of your site. Awk-ward.
