Speidi’s Back in LA

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Daytime, Reality, Talk Shows, NBC, Gossip, Video,

captured video of Heidi and Spencer Pratt arriving in LA after their stint in Costa Rica. The couple were part of the cast of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, a show they left several times before they finally chose to leave for good.

Now that they’re back to their lavish lifestyles, Speidi is singing a different tune. They no longer seem angry at NBC and they are denying that they ever cried “torture” against the network in the first place. “I love NBC. I was never suing NBC,” Spencer told that paps as he made his way through the airport. “I guess since you sign a waiver…it’s not called torture.” Or some smart lawyer patiently explained to the newlyweds that they absolutely don’t have a case against the show.

The pair further soaked up the spotlight by appearing on , where they were questioned by Al Roker. He valiantly tried to get real answers out of the couple before finally putting an end to the entire Q and A (view the video above).

Dell Makes 3 Million Thanks to Twitter

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Corporate News, Internet,

Dell Outlet logoDell claims that their Outlet sales have made at least $3 million in revenue since they began subscribing to Twitter in 2007. They say that they have made money both from new sales and refurbished products. Undoubtedly much of the 650,000 following is attributed to Twitter-exclusive offers, Dell Outlet deals and Outlet-specific updates because before that time, they only had a mere 11,000 subscribers.

The New “Vernacular”

Posted by Melissa Trebus Categories: Humor, Parenting,

baby texting

I try to pride myself in being a cool “hip” mom (wait, do they say “hip” anymore), however I am having a little bit of trouble with the new technology-age vernacular. I guess my background of being an English teacher runs deeper than I thought, because the new verbs are causing me a lot of trouble. Example number one - texting. Every time I hear a group of kids talk about “texting” my grammatically correct nose twitches. A text is a noun or an adjective. They should say, “I sent you a text message.” And what about “friending” on MySpace and Facebook? Really? To an unknowledgeable observer the comment, “She friended me,” sounds absolutely ridiculous!!!  How about - She sent me a friend request? Oy! The ultimate in weird is “tweeting.” I don’t use Twitter, but the thought of telling someone that I just tweeted makes me laugh out loud - seriously!!! I suppose the gauntlet has now been thrown. Will I resist these crazy verbs or will I cave and join the crowd. Stay tuned!
