Lena Dunham to Host ‘SNL’

Lena DunhamLena Dunham will host Saturday Night Live (SNL) for the first time next month.

The Girls creator and star will make her debut on the New York-based comedy-sketch series, which has poked fun at her own hit show several times in the past, on March 8. The 27-year-old actress shared the news, reported by Variety magazine, on Twitter on yesterday writing, "Thank you for the 'SNL' love. Can't wait to debut my character 'girl who googled serial killers all night & has lots to say!'"

Lena previously praised a parody of Girls on the show in September, that featured then-host Tina Fey as an Albanian girl, Blerta, with a rubber hand and "Old Cow Disease," who joined the four young women trying to find their place in the world. She called the sketch "a true honor," and also tweeted, "Very excited about the current line-up of 'SNL' ladies. They are funny like whoa."

Rihanna and DrakeRihanna has been partying in Paris with Drake.

The "Pour It Up" singer fueled rumors she was back with her ex by joining him at Soixante Dix Neuf nightclub in the French capital, where Drake was making a personal appearance for the venue's first anniversary on Monday night. The Bajan beauty - who had a brief fling with the rapper in 2009 in the wake of her split from on/off beau Chris Brown - sipped on cocktails made with Belvedere Vodka and watched as Drake took to the DJ booth.

"She didn't want to be seen at all. She kept her head down and charged through to the back of the club with her friends. They had a private space and stayed there most of the time. Drake looked very tired, but was smiling around Rihanna. They chatted, danced a little, and seemed close," a source said.

Khloe Kardashian Still Wants a Baby

Khloe KardashianKhloe Kardashian still dreams of becoming a mother.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star struggled with fertility issues during her four-year marriage to Lamar Odom, whom she filed for divorce from in December, but "prays" she will have her own family in the future. The 29-year-old beauty said, "I love kids. I hope and pray I have kids when the time is right."

But she insists she has no regrets about ending her marriage, adding, "I live for the moment. If you think too far in the future, you might get disappointed or set the bar too low. It sucks at times, but everything happens for a reason, no matter how sh***y your circumstances are. To say where I want to be in 10 years...I have no idea. I just know that I want to be happy and smiling."

Khloe, who reportedly kept her estranged husband's alleged battle with crack cocaine a secret from her family for two years, also admits to her mother Kris Jenner during an interview for the April issue of Cosmopolitan magazine that she often keeps her problems to herself: "I'm not a big 'cry on a shoulder' person. I'm very introverted when it comes to my own stuff. Everyone has issues, and I'm not someone who likes to burden people. That's just how I am. I hold things in. I don't know why."

The Chopped Canada host, 47, was carrying several children's car seats away from the property, according to UsMagazine.com. Tori, who also has three other children, Liam, six, Hattie, two, and 18-month-old Finn, with her husband of seven years, was not present.

Katy Perry to Wed in June

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Weddings, Rumors,

Katy Perry and John MayerKaty Perry and John Mayer are planning to marry in June.

The couple - who have been dating around 18 months - sparked speculation they were engaged when the "Prism" singer stepped out on Valentine's Day wearing a ring on her engagement finger and insiders say they have already found the perfect venue and asked the pop star's pastor father, Keith Hudson, to officiate their nuptials.

"They'd love a June wedding. They want to get married at the San Ysidro Ranch in Katy's home town of Santa Barbara," a source said. The ranch previously played host to the wedding of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin in 2003, and was also where John F. Kennedy and wife Jackie spent their honeymoon.

Superstition has already pointed to Katy - who was previously married to comedian Russell Brand, whom she divorced in 2012 - and John marrying, after she caught one of the bouquets of flowers thrown by a couple married during Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' performance of "Same Love" at the Grammy Awards. Tradition follows that the person who catches the bouquet will marry next.

Harold Ramis Dies

Harold RamisGhostbusters star Harold Ramis has died at the age of 69.

The actor and director - best known for his role as Egon Spengler in the 1984 comedy, which he also wrote, with Dan Aykroyd - passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning after suffering autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis for a number of years.

Although he is best remembered on-screen for his roles in Ghostbusters and its 1989 sequel, Harold had been a leading figure in comedy since the 70s, directing Caddyshack, Groundhog Day and National Lampoon's Vacation. He also co-wrote the iconic 1978 film National Lampoon's Animal House, and later 1999s Analyze This and 2002s Analyze That, starring Robert De Niro, which he also directed.

Harold continued to act in recent years, with parts in Knocked Up, Airheads and Oscar-winner As Good As it Gets and he had also directed episodes of the US version of The Office for network NBC.

Amanda Seyfried to Star in ‘Ted 2’

Amanda SeyfriedAmanda Seyfried will star in Ted 2.

The actress has been cast as the girlfriend of lead character John Bennett, played by Mark Wahlberg. The same role was taken by Mila Kunis in the first film - which saw her character, Lori, marry John at the end - but she will only have a small role, or will not appear at all in the sequel, according to Deadline.com.

The reason for the change of female lead has been put down to a creative decision by Seth MacFarlane, the movie's creator, who will produce, write and co-star in the sequel as the titular character, a foul-mouthed teddy bear who has been brought to life by John. Les Miserables star Amanda has previously said she will go to great lengths to get film roles, and is not above "begging" for a part she wants.

"Three years ago, a director told me I wasn't made for a certain role and he didn't want to meet me. I called up the casting director and begged him to let me have a trial. I went and he once again told me it was a no. I contacted an acting coach, which I never normally do, and went back in a different outfit and did the audition in a different accent, begging them to see me another time. They gave the role to someone else: but it didn't matter, I just wanted to be sure I had done my best. It's my biggest strength: not being scared of doing castings that some actresses think they're above. I had five auditions for Les Miserables! Of course, I would never go as far as getting undressed to land a role," she previously said.

Jennifer Lawrence for Dior

As we all wait in anticipation to see what Dior design Jennifer Lawrence will flaunt at this year's Oscars, the fashion house has held fans over by offering up their latest campaign starring the actress in the meantime.

Like her Dior last campaign, the ads featuring Lawrence are minimal; unlike her last Dior campaign, she actually looks like herself (although it's obvious that her torso either isn't pictured or blatantly covered up). Naturally, she looks stunning in all of them (catch the rest after the jump!) and easily sells both of the bags featured in the photos - although if the black-and-white headshots are supposed to sell their make-up, I'm not quite sold on that considering how bare face she appears to be.

Alec Baldwin Retires From Public Life

Alec BaldwinDespite quarreling with him on Orphans, Alec Baldwin is apparently taking a cue from Shia LaBeouf.

The 30 Rock actor penned an open letter online claiming that he's retiring from public life. Fed up with what he claims is the media's false, twisted perception of his character, Baldwin uses most of his letter to tell his side of recent news stories that have shed a poor light on him: "But - I’m sorry, I can’t let go of this - do people really, really believe that, when I shouted at that guy, I called him a 'f****t' on-camera? Do you honestly believe I would give someone like TMZ’s Harvey Levin, of all people, another club to beat me with?"

Baldwin additionally points out that all of the bad publicity surrounding him have cost him projects, including his lucrative Capital One deal, which he says he donated all of his fees to charity. Moreover, even though he's known for being a quintessential New Yorker, the 55-year-old contemplates in his letter whether or not he should raise his daughter in L.A. instead, considering the increased paparazzi craze.

"It’s good-bye to public life in the way that you try to communicate with an audience playfully like we’re friends, beyond the work you are actually paid for. Letterman. Saturday Night Live. That kind of thing," the 16-time Saturday Night Live host concludes.
