End of the Road for NBC’s ‘Journeyman’

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, NBC, Cancellations,

JourneymanThirteen is not only an unlucky number, it’s the only number is going to get.

Unlike other freshman dramas (e.g. , ), Journeyman will not get a full-season order.  NBC had until yesterday to express its intentions with the program.  Unfortunately, the studio chose not to waste more money on the ratings-challenged series.  (Just this Monday, the show scored almost 1 million less viewers than Life did in the same time slot last week.)

The drama, starring (Rome), completed 13 episodes before production ended.  Unlike ABC’s questionable move with Big Shots, NBC does intend to air Journeyman’s final two hours.

This Week on TV (12/3-12/9)

The Closer

MONDAY (12/3)
  • (TNT, 8pm):  The special two-hour holiday episode brings Brenda’s parents into the investigative fold.  Nothing says Christmas like talking blood with your blood.
  • (NBC, 9pm):  (NOTE:  This is the last new episode left.)  ‘Peter squares off against former friends thanks to Adam’s confusing story about the Shanti virus.’  He shouldn’t fault Adam; the confusing storyline is to blame.
  • (FOX, 9pm):  ‘Boulet and Cobb investigate an insurance adjuster’s murder.’  As if there weren’t enough people in New Orleans with a motive.
  • (NBC, 10pm): (First half of the two-parter; 2nd half airs Wednesday).  ‘Evidence points to Reese’s father in the murders that sent Crews to prison.’  I’m guessing this won’t be resolved anytime soon…otherwise, we wouldn’t have a show.

NBC ‘Green Week’: An Opinion

NBC's 'Green Week' sucks a big oneOk, I’m all for saving the world, cleaning up the air and preventing whatever horrible fate Al Gore has decided awaits us in the coming decades - but this NBC “Green Week” is absolutely awful. In a week that has seen this huge writer strike, it would seem to me that network television needs every spark it can possibly get. What did NBC deliver instead? The guy from Windtalkers (now on Law & Order: SVU) telling me to recycle a pizza box … before he almost gets blown up by the bomb inside.

Oh, but the tree-hugging horror doesn’t stop there. Follow me after the jump to take a look at some of the other cringe-inducing moments from “Green Week.”
