WTFJeans with special iPhone, iPod touch, USB stick pockets
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Wearables,

If you’re looking for something with a SCOTTEVEST flair, but made with denim, take notice of what WTFJean has going on. They make jeans with specially-fitted pockets, lined with microfiber, meant to house your iPhone or iPod touch. In addition, they even have pockets meant to hold on to USB sticks, which we guess the pockets on your regular jeans are no good for? Oh, also, while they’re available in both male and female versions, if you’re a dide, it goes you some frontal padding for protection. Huh.
Anyhow, these will be on sale on May 2nd for $80.

Next Apple Mac mini to rock HDMI?
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Home Entertainment, PC / Laptop, Rumors,

We’ve think that it’s a travesty that the only Apple product to sport an HDMI port has been the Apple TV, especially when you consider that the Mac mini is pretty much the best Mac to have connected as a permanent part of your home theater setup. Well, it looks like that could possibly be changing with the next Mac mini refresh, is AppleInsider sources are to be believed. They’re saying that there are prototype HDMI-based Mac minis floating through the normal channels within the company, and one or more of them are based on the NVIDIA MCP89 chipset, which would mean that the mini would stay on the Core 2 Duo architecture rather than moving on to the newer Core i3, i5, i7 processors if that doesn’t change. Of course, this is all rumor for now and there’s no release date or any other official info on the HDMI mini, so take this all with a grain of salt.

Apple releases Family Travel iPhone ad
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Smartphones, Handhelds, Software, Videos,
Apple recently changed directions just a bit with the iPhone commercials, which now feature voices of people in different roles talking about the apps they use during certain experiences. Case in point, the latest ad, titled ‘Family Travel.’ It’s got a mom talking about using various apps to check flight status, check in right on the iPHone 3GS, watch movies, and even turn off the lights at home, remotely. Good approach, wouldn’t you say?
Apple over-the-air 3G download cap increased to 20MB
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Smartphones, Rumors, Wireless / WiFi,
Just a quick update as it pertains to downloading iTunes and App Store content on your iPhone. If you are connected via cell connection (meaning, you aren’t connected to Wi-Fi,) you can now download content that’s up to 20MB in size over the air. Previously, the downloads were capped to apps that were 10MB or less, and iTunes content 12MB or less. With the iPad looming on the horizon, it looks like Apple is pre-emptively preparing for apps that are larger in file size that users would want to download to their tablets while connected to 3G. The changes have taken effect so far in in the US, Germany, and Canada.
