Chris Daughtry

If you recall, we told you about the Toilet Tattoos that jazz up your tank. Okay, they don’t play music or light up your life in the bathroom, but they may give you a bit of your fave celebrity. Creator Celeste Massullo went to the AMAs and brought along some of her designs, which have been autographed and are to be auctioned off on eBay February 11. Choose from Chris Daughtry, John Legend, apprentice Omarosa, Ernest Borgnine, Ne-Yo, Larry Birkhead, Telma Hopkins, and more. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Sociey.

(Thanks, Todd)

Pollen Bot

Weathernews has found an interesting way to monitor and alert Tokyo to the pollen count. The 200 Pollen Bots measure about one foot across, weigh 2.2 lbs. each, and glow in their styrofoam shells. The color of their eyes change as the count goes up or down. Given to those locals who suffer from hay fever, the recipients monitor the air in their space and send updated results over the Net to Weathernews’ headquarters. We would think that having to purchase a couple extra boxes of Kleenex would be a fairly decent and less expensive indication.

UDIC

Digitalcube has unveiled a multimedia electronic dictionary in Korea. The i-station UDIC features a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen that swivels, a QWERTY keyboard, and supports text-to-speech. With 50 kinds of dictionaries and access to a multi-search enging, thank goodness it also features a translation service, as it looks to us like Korean is the main language featured, which of course is logical. It can also caption movies and is powered by an Alchemy AU 1250 CPU and DVE. Contact Digitalcube for price and availability.
