Samsung and Microsoft to Share Patents

Samsung and Microsoft have reached an agreement that will give them both cross licensing. Samsung will have access to MS patents that are used in existing and future lines such as computer products, DMPs, camcorders, TVs, and printers. Microsoft will be able to utilize Samsung’s digital media and computer related inventions. Both companies will receive monetary benefits. In the last 12 months, Microsoft has set up similar agreements with other companies such as NEC, Fuji-Xerox, Seiko-Epson, Novell, and Nortel.
