LG Bluetooth DTV
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Smartphones, HDTV, Home Entertainment, Wireless / WiFi,
LG’s new Bluetooth DTV lets you watch a movie or play games to your heart’s content without your partner/spouse complaining. The included earphones have a range of up to 10 meters. You can also send images from your cell phone and display them on your TV. There is not much other information out except that it will hit Europe first. We predict that within the next couple of years, Bluetooth will become the rule, rather than an extra accessory.

CoffeeCompany Curbs WiFi Freeloaders
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Internet, Misc. Tech, PC / Laptop, Wireless / WiFi,

We suspect there are a lot of people who hit up their local Starbucks to take advantage of the free WiFi and sip the same cup for hours. The Holland based CoffeeCompany has come up with an idea to curb the practice. They change the name of their network with such passwords as “HaveYouTriedCoffeeCake?,” “BuyAnotherCupYouCheapskate” and “BuyaLargeLatteGetBrownieForFree.” While the message is comical and subliminal, the guilt factor must be worth the effort.

Sharp Aquos Fulltough 931SH high-resolution mobile phone
Posted by Aaron Zollo Categories: Cameras, Smartphones, Handhelds, Portable Audio / Video, Wireless / WiFi,
The Japanese always manage to get the best cell phones first and we always hope they trickle over to the U.S. and the new Sharp Aquos Fulltouch 931SH is no exception to the rule. This new cell phone is an obvious response to the iPhone and its touch technology. The one thing that sets this cell phone apart is the incredible screen resolution of 1024 x 480, bringing it close to that of a netbook. The 931SH also incorporates a 5.2 megapixel camera with stabilizer technology, a 1seg TV tuner, Bluetooth with A2DP, an accelerometer, web browser, media player, a microSD slot and of course, a touch screen as the name implies. The phone also works on all 3G networks, making it viable for U.S. as well as world-wide consumption, although no time-frame has been mentioned.
