Bjork Picky About Who Covers Her Songs

Bjork will only let certain people cover her songs.
The "Mutual Core" singer chooses artists she thinks will do a fresh take on her tracks to record their own versions.
"I'm in a protected situation. I've already done my version the way I want it to be. I ask people I already like, it's not like I'm asking just anybody. I sometimes compare it to jazz standards. You hear two different versions of 'My Funny Valentine' by Billie Holiday and Miles Davis and neither of them are correct. I like the remix platform. There are invisible rules but a lot of freedom."

Demi Lovato Wants Emotional Music
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Upcoming Releases, Pop,
Demi Lovato wants to bring more "emotion" to music. The "Skyscraper" hitmaker - who underwent a three-month stint in rehab in 2010 to receive help for self harm, bipolar disorder and an eating disorder - has learned to "connect" with her audience by being truthful about herself and admires the work of Adele and Taylor Swift, who make catchy, honest songs.
"For a long time, I was pretending to be someone that I wasn't, and I was miserable. When I came out and said, 'I'm human, I've got problems, but I'm willing to share them,' that's when I started to really connect. I've just begun working on my fourth album, and I want to do that in my music too. I'm tired of songs that don't have much emotion in them. I love the way that Adele has carved out a path for a singer that's very emotional, but I also love how Taylor Swift can do the same thing--she puts a lot into her songs yet they're still very catchy."

The clip contains a montage of news footage set to a track that has similarities to the band's previous work, before transforming into a bas heavy dubstep break. The trailer ends with the music fading out and a release announcement, reading, "New Album. The 2nd Law. September 2012," appearing on screen.

Daft Punk Show Changed Skrillex
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Concerts / Tours, Upcoming Releases, Electronic,
Skrillex's life was changed when he saw Daft Punk. The dubstep star went to great lengths to see the French electro group when they last toured, and strives to create the same atmosphere at his own live shows.
"I remember seeing the full Daft Punk pyramid show in 2007. I went alone, bought a ticket off a scalper for $150, got on the floor, and had the best time of my life. I didn't have a drink, no drugs. But I was high out of my mind. It changed my life. There have been a couple of times where I've been so proud of what I've done live, like I feel like I've given someone the same kind of feeling I got at that Daft Punk show. And that feels so good."
The 24-year-old "Bangarang" star - real name Sonny Moore - has only released single tracks and EPs so far, but is planning to work on a full album.
"Yeah, I wanna put out an album. It's weird because coming into this, there was never any pressure to make an album. If I want to be conceptual and the time is right, I can make an album that's like: Here's my sound. Because I have some new s**t that's way different than what I've done that still could rock a party. I'm not saying I'm trying to change s**t, but making this new music got me re-inspired."
