WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD…

It looks as if Sex and the City 2 has just lined up its next Oscar winner.

According to reports, Penelope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) has already filmed a cameo in the highly-anticipated sequel. Cruz’s participation follows an appearance from Oscar winner Liza Minnelli and, of course, a role for Jennifer Hudson in the first film.

While it was initially rumored that Cruz would appear as herself at a red carpet function, People magazine sources say the Nine actress will play a banker who may get a bit too close to Mr. Big. (I think that could be a dilemma in any married man’s world.)

Sex and the City 2 - which features original stars Sarah, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis - is due for release on May 28, 2010.
