Dean Browski’s NFL Week 8 Picks

Struggled through last week but pulled even with a Sunday and Monday night wins.  3 games over .500 headed to the mid-point isn’t a bad place to be.
Season: 51-48-3
Last Week: 7-7-0

Oakland Raiders @ Baltimore Ravens
Notes: When this year started I didn’t think the Ravens would ever be almost a double-digit favorite.  Weat coast team with a 1pm Eastern game, I will take the Ravens.  Not to mention the Raiders win last week was the worse showing by a winning team that I have ever seen.
Pick: Ravens -9

Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers
Notes: I want to pick the Cardinals, but the west coast teams with 1pm EST kickoffs is present here, not to mention that the Cardinals have shown that they don’t like coming east with two losses on this coast already.
Pick: Panthers -3.5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys
Notes: My oh my how the mighty have fallen.  I am not saying I told you so, but I did predict the Cowboys to finish 10-6 this year.  At this point the Cowboys will be lucky to reach 10 wins.
Pick: Buccaneers +1

Washington Redskins @ Detroit Lions
Notes: Some are saying this could be a trap game, and you know, it might be.  But I can’t possibly find it in myself to pick the Lions.
Pick: Redskins -9
Redskins Cheerleader
Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins
Notes: Here is your upset special for the week.  Why are the Bills only 1 point favorites?
Pick: Dolphins +1

St. Louis Rams @ New England Patriots
Notes: It has been a really tough week for the Patriots.  They should win, but the Rams will score some points.
Pick: Rams +9

San Diego Chargers vs New Orleans Saints (@ London)
Notes: The Chargers can’t play on the east coast let alone across the pond.
Pick: Saints +3

Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets
Notes: The Jets were horrible last week, but they have been pretty good at home this year.  Jet fans can stare at their former coach and their soon to be former coach.
Pick: Jets -14

Atlanta Falcons @ Philadelphia Eagles
Notes: Matt Ryan is going to get to play in front of his hometown people.  Don’t expect the Eagles to be nice to him though.
Pick: Eagles -9

Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Notes: The Jaguars are coming off of their bye week and perhaps some normalcy has set in for them.
Pick: Jaguars -7

Cincinnati Bengals @ Houston Texans
Notes: One of these weeks the Texans are going to cover.
Pick: Texans -9

New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Notes: Playing a hunch.
Pick: Giants +3

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers
Notes: New coach in SF, and the 49ers haven’t been playing all that poorly. Mike Singletary will keep things consistent enough.
Pick: 49ers -4.5

Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans
Notes: I have been hating on the Titans since the preseason, though I have never said anything but great things about Coach Fisher.  The Titans are on the verge of 7-0 while the Colts are one the verge of 3-4 and kissing the Division goodbye.  Nothing says that the Colts will win except for the oddity of the teams differing records.  I may change my mind, but for now I will take the Colts.
Pick: Colts +4
