Ricky Martin Wishes He Could Come Out Again

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Features,

Ricky MartinRicky Martin wishes he could come out as homosexual again.

The "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer claims he was initially terrified at how his peers would react to the news - after keeping his sexuality a secret until he was 38 - but claims the experience was extremely liberating and he longs to relive it a second time.

"I was terrified. I had to really work on my self esteem to understand that it's all about self love, and other people's opinions weren't what was important. What WAS important was accepting myself exactly as I am, as I was born. I insist, it wasn't easy, but wow, I wish I could come out again because it felt like I could 'high five' God [sic]," he said, speaking during a Facebook chat with fans.

The 41-year-old singer also said he was a keen supporter of Miley Cyrus and suggested the star's wild antics are a reflection of her growing up in the music industry: "I LOVE MILEY! #TEAMMILEY all the way. She's a young woman living the moment with music...i wish her nothing but the best [sic]."

Jessica Biel Plans Lance Bass’ Wedding

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Music, Weddings,

Michael Turchin and Lance BassLance Bass has enlisted Jessica Biel to help plan his wedding.

The former 'N Sync star has received helpful tips and support from the wife of his former bandmate, Justin Timberlake, after proposing to his boyfriend Michael Turchin in September.

Lance, 34, reunited with the "Bye Bye Bye" hitmakers earlier this month for band member Chris Kirkpatrick's wedding, and he picked the stunning actress' brain on wedding ideas for his own nuptials: "I'm so glad I went to Chris' wedding because I forgot about some of my old management company people. And then we were sitting there talking to Jessie Biel, too, and she gave us a lot of great pointers. And she had some really great ideas. One really cool idea she had was that, on the invites -- because we love our onezies -- send out personalized onezies to all our guests so that at midnight after the reception it turns into a pajama party. How fun would that be? I think we might be doing that one. That was something we both loved."

Lady Gaga: I’m Not a Gay Icon

Lady GagaLady Gaga insists she isn't a gay icon.

The "Applause" hitmaker - who is openly bisexual - is adamant she never intended to become a poster figure for the homosexual community because she doesn't "consider" herself to be gay.

"But... but... but... but here, where do I say I'm a gay icon? I never said I was a gay icon. When did that happen? Are those lyrics on the album? Absolutely not. I don't even consider myself... I don't even know what that word means. That was a label that was invented years ago. I'm a... I'm a gay supporter," the incredulous star told Attitude magazine.

This comes as a surprise since the 27-year-old singer - who set up the Born This Way Foundation to help bullied teens - has long been an advocate for gay rights, memorably blasting the Russian government over its LGBT rights record and calling on the US military to ditch their policy of "Don't ask, Don't tell" in regards to gay people.

Celebrities Thank Obama for Gay Marriage Support

President Obama

Celebrities have praised Barack Obama after he announced he supports gay marriage. The president revealed in a new interview that he had changed his mind about same-sex couples legally commiting.

"There have been times where Michelle and I have been sitting around the dinner table and we're talking about their friends and their parents and Malia and Sasha, it wouldn't dawn on them that somehow their friends' parents would be treated differently. It doesn't make sense to them and frankly, that's the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective," he said in an interview with ABC News.
