The Mophie Juice Pack Air for the iPhone 5 is the second iPhone 5 battery case that Mophie has released, with the first being the Juice Pack Helium. The difference is that the Helium offers an additional 80% battery life for the Apple smartphone, while the Juice Pack Air offers a full 100% - doubling your iPhone 5 battery life. We give you a look at the Juice Pack Air for iPhone 5 in this episode, and also compare it to the Juice Pack Helium. You can pick up the Juice Pack Air on Amazon for $99.

We talk with RadioShack in this episode about its in-house value brands. That includes the Enercell external batteries and chargers that work with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and USB devices like Android smartphones and Kindles for example. We also chat about its Auvio headphones that are inexpensive and have a $1 warranty that makes them super replaceable. There's also the ZaggSparq to charge your tablet on the go. We chat with Eric Bruner at CES 2012.

We chat with Mophie about its line of iPhone and iOS device chargers in this interview from CES 2012. Mophie's Ross Howe, the company VP of Marketing, gives us the latest news on the Juice Pack Air, Juice Pack Plus, Juice Pack Outdoor Edition, and the line of external chargers that Mophie has available. As you can see, we're fans of that orange Outdoor Edition. The big (literally) addition to the Juice Pack line was the Powerstation Plus, which can basically recharge your phone from empty to full a bunch of times, which means you could potentially go camping for a weekend without electricity and still keep your devices charged the whole time. You can find all of Mophie's products on Amazon.

We were able to chat with Dexim, makers of the P-Flip docking stations and external batteries for the iPhone and BlackBerry, at CES 2010, where they gave us a look at their latest iPhone battery models. If you are familiar with the Mophie Juice Pack, you’ll be familiar with these. Except that the P-Flip line is a little cheaper, and a bit more feature-rich. In fact, they even have a solar model that’ll charge your iPhone using the power of the sun. All details in the video.
A big thank you to Bing for sponsoring Gear Live’s CES 2010 coverage.
The Mophie Juice Pack Air is the latest iPhone 3G (and iPhone 3G S) battery pack to come out of Mophie, and is the follow-up to the Mophie Juice Pack 3G. We’ve actually been big fans of the Juice Pack 3G since it launched last year, as it’s kept our iPhones running for just about twice as long as they normally would. FOr days during events like CES, that meant we could be checking email and texting all day and night without worrying about battery power dying. Of course, the Juice Pack 3G did have one drawback—its size. With the Juice Pack 3G on the device, it was just too big to fit anywhere comfortable, including a pants pocket. Looking to improve on that, Mophie has released the Juice Pack Air. Come on in for our full Mophie Juice Pack Air review, and be sure to enter our Mophie Juice Pack Air Giveaway!

If there is one complaint we have about the iPhone 3G, it’s that with our heavy usage, we get fairly poor battery life. However, thanks to the new Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 3G, I no longer am left needing a charge after 8-10 hours of use. If you are someone who:
- Talks a lot on the phone
- Uses the iPod feature a lot
- Plays a lot of games from the App Store
- Uses push email, contacts, and/or calendars with Exchange, MobileMe, or both
- Any combination of the above
Then the Mophie Juice Pack may be exactly what you need, if you are finding yourself in a similar situation. We give you a look at the device, which doubles the battery life of your iPhone 3G, in this episode.
Okay, we’re mobile warriors here at Gear Live, and the battery life is the only negative for me when it comes to my iPhone 3G. The Mophie Juice Pack 3G aims to fix that problem, and so we took it to task. Now, mind you, not everyone uses up their battery as quick as I do - I have two email accounts that are on push data, and I also push calendars and contacts as well. That’s a lot of constant connectivity going on. If I’m not careful, my iPhone 3G battery will be dead within 9 hours on a typical day.

Yeah, we know that the iPhone is probably a little rich to purchase for someone during the holidays, plus there’s the whole activtion conundrum. Instead, focus on the people who already own the iPhone 3G, and get them an accessory that we absolutely love. The Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 3G gives the iPhone more than double the battery life that it has on its own. That means you get up to 250 hours standby time, 6 hours talk time (or 12 hours if on EDGE), 28 hours audio playback, and 8 hours video playback. The cost on this one is $99.95, and is totally worth it for iPhone road warriors.

Apple has locked down the iPhone battery, which means that once it can’t hold a charge, you need to send it in. If you’d rather just buy your own battery and replace it yourself, we’ve got your hookup. Nate and I got together to film this this tutorial, which shows how to replace your iPhone battery. Heck, even if you have decided that you will never open up your iPhone on your own, we think it’s still pretty cool to see the process - so just hit play, okay?
Oh, and just to be sure we’re all clear, we take absolutely no responsibility if you try and replicate what you see in our video and end up bricking or damaging your phone. Okay, happy viewing!
