We chat with hip-hop superstar Xzibit about Monster's upcoming line of gaming headphones. The Monster Gaming T1 headphones feature 7.1 virtual surround sound, 40mm drivers, Monster's most advanced noise isolation earcups, an LED Light Drive System, and even a built-in ControlTalk for use with the iPhone and other smartphones so you can take phone calls. The T1 gaming headphones will be available in February 2012. This was recorded at CES 2012.

Lady Gaga Heartbeats 2.0 earbuds show you were born this way

Looks like the Monster Cable / Lady Gaga / Dr. Dre triumverate (with Jimmy Iovine playing coach) is teaming up again to bring the Lady Gaga Heartbeats into 2011. The Heartbeats 2.0 get a redesign, bringing the updated look of the earbuds more in line with how Gaga herself has been styling herself as of late. That means weird pyramid-shaped studs coming off the side of the earbud, and a spikey looking earpiece as well. You see, these match the ridiculous pyramid bumps that Gaga has been wearing on her face while promoting her new Born This Way album...but stay with us here. Monster is promising awesome clarity and deep base that can be turned up to deafening levels without distortion, and since it has a microphone on the flat, tangle-proof wire, you can even use them to take phone calls. Beats Solo comes to Beats by Dr. Dre line: Smaller, Lighter, $219

Hot on the heels of the Heartbeats by Lady Gaga headphone news, we now have word on another new line in the Beats by Dr. Dre line - the Beats Solo. As you can see from the image, the Beats Solo is a smaller, lighter, and sleeker take on the Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones. Monster Cable aimed to make these headphones a lot more portable, while maintaining the great sound that the Studio edition is known for. Since we haven’t gotten our hands on these, we can’t confirm that, but we do know that the price is a lot more palatable for the masses. The Beats Solo will be available in November in black and white, and will cost $219.95. That’s $80 less than the larger Studio model.
