At CES,  we caught up with Ben Kaufman, founder of Quirky (and he also started Mophie back in the day,) to get a look at the social product design process behind Quirky.com. Bleeding Edge TV 372: Contour wearable HD cameras with GPS

At CES, we were able to chat with Marc Barros, CEO of Contour. Countour makes a line of hands-free wearable video cameras. They records in full HD video, and can even track your GPS coordinates and elevation. This means you can see the path you took while recording. You can also connect the Contour camera to your phone using an app, showing you a live view of what the camera is seeing. The camera connects to the app over Bluetooth. They're available for $349 with GPS, or $279 without.

Bleeding Edge TV 371: Jawbone Jambox Bluetooth loudspeaker

Last week at CES, we caught up with Travis Bogard from Aliph to get the rundown on the Jawbone Jambox. You may know Aliph, and the Jawbone brand, as the makers of awesome Bluetooth headsets (like the Jawbone Icon,) but the Jambox is a portable Bluetooth speaker with built-in microphone that rocks for playing audio from your Bluetooth-enabled devices. That could be your phone, digital audio player, or anything else that supports A2DP. Even cooler, you can even use the Jambox to take calls.

CES 2011It's the beginning of a new year, and in the technology world, that means it's time for CES. We'll be hitting Vegas this week to cover the biggest consumar electronics show in these here United States later this week, where we expect to bring you a ton of breaking news. CES is where consumer electronics manufacturers shows off their upcoming wares for the year, and it gives a general idea of where the industry is going (for the records, we expect tablets to be pretty big this year.)

For CES, we'll be part of the Sears Blue Blogger Crew, and we'll be working as part of a team of other technology experts as we aim to give you an in-depth look at the sights and sounds of the event:

  • Jenna Hatfield, lead blogger at Stop, Drop and Blog; newspaper photographer and BlogHer contributing editor.
