“So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience,” she said.

Nicole Kidman Opens Up About Kinky Sex Life

In an interview for December’s British GQ (of which she graces the cover), Nicole Kidman fills us in on her taboo sex life.
“I’ve explored obsession. I’ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I’ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff, I’ve explored the mundane aspect of marriage, and monogamy. You work on it [the relationship]. It’s a very extraordinary, adventurous place to be: incredibly raw, incredibly dangerous and you’re very much out at sea. You’re exposed. You could drown.”
Too much information, Nicole? Well, at least she seems happier with new hubby Keith Urban than she was with that iconic former husband.
Of Tom Cruise, Nicole wasn’t so willing to spill any secrets, keeping a tight lip: “I want to honor that marriage for what it was, and there is nothing I would go into about that. I have never discussed the intricacies of it and I never will.”
Kidman will appear on the silver screen alongside Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Daniel Day-Lewis in the musical Nine, which opens this Christmas.

sponge Kate Gosselin recently admitted in an interview that she’s not proud of how she treated Jon.
“I was very hard on him and I would never deny that. I felt very much like a lot of weight rested on my shoulders… I was wrong to treat him that way. Was it good, healthy and wonderful? No. Am I proud of those moments that were captured? No.”
Should we still be caring about these two? The way that they treat each other seems like they’re meant to be.

Webcomics Q&A: Mike Bannon and Mordant Orange

The great thing about Stumble Upon is that you get to stumble upon some really funny webcomics. That’s how I found Mike Bannon’s Mordant Orange, a single-panel full color comic, about six months ago. A mechanical designer by day and a webcartoonist by night, Mike describes himself as “similar to a large block of wood but with slightly more hair and slightly less funny.” I thought it was time to ask him a few questions.
Tom Mason: How did you get interested in cartooning?
Mike Bannon: Probably much like anyone else. As a kid I had a bunch of Garfield collections. I used to read them all the time and try drawing Garfield. I also had an English friend who had lots of British comics as well, Beano, Dennis the Menace and all kinds of stuff I’d never heard of before. They were fantastic. But beyond that what really got me interested in cartoons was this physics teacher in high school who used to copy Far Side cartoons into course outlines and labs. I just the loved the smart, bizarre humor. I went out and got my hands on all The Far Side Gallery’s I could.
Tom: How did Mordant Orange get started?
Mike: In 2005, a friend introduced me to this thing called a blog. I started a blog like everyone else and posted all the dumb stuff on the internet that I found funny. After about two weeks of this I got bored and decided if I wanted to have a website that was worth visiting I would have to put something original up on it. So I started writing movie reviews. Which I sucked at it and quickly abandoned.

I believe “this thing” refers to his recent fallout with TLC, the cable network that made he and estranged wife Kate reality celebrities. Jon Gosselin went apes**t, if you’ll pardon the expression, when Jon and Kate became Kate Plus 8, signifying the new direction of the show. He posted a sign on his property forbidding the camera crews to do their job and made incendiary remarks through his legal representative, igniting a media firestorm that’s been watched anxiously.

In the upcoming book, Mackenzie Phillips talks at great length about her incestuous relationship with her father, whom she says “wasn’t a monster.” According to his daughter, John Phillips “was a tortured man who led a tortured existence.”

Poor Michael Caine—ever since he seemed to confirm the Johnny Depp-Riddler rumors, the poor guy has been out of the loop with everything these days!
In an interview with MTV (nearly a year ago with the same interviewer with which the deed was done), Caine realizes that he can’t trust the newspaper these days:
“We talked about Johnny Depp and all that, which is in the paper! We trusted the newspapers, and I got into so much trouble. They said, ‘Johnny Depp’s not in it. Philip Seymour Hoffman’s not in it. There’s no script, there’s nothing.’ They said, ‘Why did you say that?’ I said, ‘Because the reporter I was talking to had the newspaper, and it said it in the newspaper, and I thought you’d announced that.’ So they said, ‘Shut up.’”

Despite their fabulous creations, you wouldn’t know that designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez butted heads frequently.
In their defense, Hernandez explained, “It’s part of the creative process—the dialogue.”
Their collection that’s to be shown next week at Milk, for instance, gave the pair quite a challenge. “There was a lot; it’s been a tricky collection,” McCollough said. “We’re doing new things. Like color. But color’s really subjective,” Hernandez finished.
Here’s a taste of what goes on between the two:
McCollough: A color you like I might despise.
Hernandez: Everyone sees color differently.
McCollough: If he likes red and I like blue, we wind up doing purple.
Hernandez: We do a lot of gray, because he likes black and I like white.
McCollough: I don’t really like white, actually.
Hernandez: I don’t really like black, either.
Either way, whatever they’re doing seems to be steadily working: “Things are definitely picking up from the low of last year. But stores still aren’t buying as much,” Hernandez said.
