Palm Pre Plus unboxing gallery

We’ve finally got around to getting our hands on the Palm Pre Plus, Verizon’s version of the Pre, which Palm had hoped would spur the additional sales needed to take the company away from the brink of irrelevance at best, and extinction at worst. While that may not have happened, and while we can go over the myriad of reasons why (Palm, your App Store is atrocious…,) one that thing we are sure about is that the Pre Plus is a great phone. In fact, it has some features that you’d be hard-pressed to find in any other device, like the ability to act as a Mobile Hotspot for up to five other devices. We just landed a Barnes & Noble nook, and while our review is forthcoming, we figured it’d only be appropriate to hit you with a nice gallery of unboxing photos of the device aimed to take on the Amazon Kindle. We give you a look at the nook packaging, touchscreen, welcome screen, and of course, multiple views of the hardware itself. Our early impressions? The nook is nice, and feel great in the hand.

We were able to get our hands on the Motorola DROID a few days early, and we’ve got to say, this thing is a beauty. Android 2.0 is responsive and crisp, especially on the fantastic DROID display. We are going to be diving into the DROID a bit more in-depth in our full review, and we’ll have a few videos up as well, but in the meantime, please enjoy our Motorola DROID unboxing gallery. Zune HD unboxing gallery

That’s right, y’all. It’s Zune HD day, and Microsoft’s newest portable PMP is ready to make its debut. Of course, we’ve got your hook-up, and have put together an unboxing gallery looking at the Zune HD, as well as everything else in the box. We must say, we were definitely stoked about this. For gadget lovers and lusters, the Zune HD is an adrenaline rush, what with its thin profile and gorgeous screen. Be sure to check out the full Zune HD unboxing gallery for all the goods.

We will of course have a Zune HD review coming for you as well, but since Microsoft opted to give us review units that wouldn’t work until the Zune 4.0 software update was available, that’ll have to wait a bit. We don’t wanna go singing the praises of (or totally trashing) a device until we’ve had some legitimate time to play with it while fully functional, thank you very much. You know that new iPod shuffle that Apple was gushing over during their “It’s Only Rock and Roll” event? We were able to get our hands on one of the stainless steel beauties, and have given it our gallery treatment. If you’re interested in an inexpensive iPod that can hold a couple thousand songs and keeps a low profile, this might be the one for you. Check it out, it’s definitely slick.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 unboxing gallery

A few months ago, Panasonic released the amazing Lumix DMC-ZS3 digital camera, and we immediately took notice. After all, a point-and-shoot that features 10.1 megapixels, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens, and an astounding 12x optical zoom was certainly something that commanded attention. The camera also boasts a Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and records high definition 720p video in AVCHD Lite format, at 60 frames per second no less. We were finally able to get our hands on one now that the Lumix ZS3 isn’t constantly sold out everywhere we turn, and we’ve put together a gallery of Panasonic Lumix ZS3 unboxing images to show off the camera itself. Our pal Nate True has been using it, and from all accounts, he loves it. You can pick up a Panasonic Lumix ZS3 at Amazon.

MacBook Pro 2009 unboxing gallery

At WWDC 2009, aside from introducing the world to the iPhone 3G S, Apple also introduced a newly redesigned MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro 2009 revision does away with the removable battery, but replaces it with a battery that lasts up to 7 hours. Oh, and we mean a real 7 hours, we’ve tested it. Also, the ExpressCard slot has been removed, and in its place we now have an SD card slot. The MacBook Pro will even boot off of an SD card if you tell it to.

Panasonic Lumix LX3 unboxing gallery

We’ve been playing with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 for a few days, and can’t deny how impressed we are. While we work on our Lumix LX3 review, we figured we’d hit you guys up with a quick Lumix LX3 unboxing gallery of the device. We’ve snapped a good 16 images showing you the Lumix LX3, along with everything else that’s included in the box. Our only regret? That we couldn’t use the Lumix LX3 to shoot the unboxing of itself. It’s that good.

Nintendo DSi unboxing gallery

We know you guys have been waiting for it, so here we are with our Nintendo DSi unboxing gallery. In case you haven’t heard, the Nintendo DSi is the company’s follow-up to the standard Nintendo DS. It does away with the GameBoy cartridge slot, so it is thinner, and it also features two camera on the device, one facing the player and one facing away from the player, on the outside of the unit. The cameras open up new gaming possibilities, as does the much expanded storage. The DSi features the DSi Shop, which connects to the Internet in a similar fashion to the Wii Shop, and allows you to download games in exchange for Points. Pantech Matrix Pro unboxing gallery

We were able to spend some quality time with the latest dual slider Windows Mobile smartphone from AT&T, that being the Pantech Matrix Pro. If you are unfamiliar with dual slider phones, what this means is that if you slide the phone vertically, you get a number pad—but if you turn it horizontally and slide up, you get a QWERTY keyboard. Very slick. The Pantech Matrix Pro runs Windows Mobile 6.1, and is Video Share capable, which means you can beam video to and from the phone to other handsets, a feature that we think is the hotness, along with turn-by-turn navigation via aGPS. We will be doing more with the Matrix Pro, but for now, we’ve put together a nice Pantech Matrix Pro unboxing gallery, featuring 31 images of the new smartphone.
