LED Gift BoxesThe powers that be running the Postal Service suggest that you never mail batteries inside whatever they are supposed to run, but show up at your next party with these color-changing boxes and you can spend less on a gift because your hosts will find you either super-impressive or super-tacky.They come in threes with satin ribbon and continuously alter their hues. The large is 170 mm square with 8 LEDs, the medium is 115 mm square with 4 LEDs, and the small is 75 mm square with 4 LEDs. Each requires 3 AAA batteries (not included.) Look for a price of $39.95 for the trio.

TDK iSlim

TDK’s latest speaker system is multi-functional and looks stylish as well. Featuring two 2.5 W flat panel speakers with NXT technology and Blue LCD display, the iSlim comes with an iPod dock with adapters, clock, alarm and FM radio. There is a AUX input for other audio players, a video-out jack, a one button equalizer, and menu and select keys. A remote and antenna are also part of the deal. For $149.00, we definitely prefer this to the Jukebox/Dock as a holiday gift, hint, hint.

Paisley Mercedes

We still enjoy seeing what those who have, buy, when it comes to electronics. After New York, it has been determined that Moscow has the highest concentration of millionaires. Hence, Quintessentially Russia, a concierge service, was born and its now second annual Moscow Millionaire Fair has just taken place. For an annual fee of £2,500 (~$5,100.00,) the company will provide almost anything, as long as it is legal. They offer such extreme gadgets as a diamond-encrusted Mercedes, a £125,000 (~$26,000.00) CD player, and a 154-inch TV screen. We think we will pass on the paisley-designed Benz, however.

Jukebox Lamp/iPod DockWe have seen iPod docks for playing and charging, mini-jukeboxes that flash and whir, FM tuners, alarms clocks, and oddly designed lamps. Combine them together with some built-in speakers and get this rather tacky 8 ½ x 10 ¾ x 20-inch Brookstone gadget, something you might get your Uncle Dennis to show you care, but not really all that much. He had better be a fave uncle, however, because it carries a MSRP of $99.99. We suspect that the next one will also vacuum your nightstand.

Everlast Desktop Speedbag

We’ve all gotten so angry at work we just wanted to punch a

co-worker wall out of frustration. Or freaked out at home because our PC “died” before we backed up all our priceless illegal downloads

files. For these moments, we highly suggest the Desktop Speed Bag, made by Everlast, no less. The Speed Bag has a terrific old school look to it (think “Cinderella Man”) and is made of vinyl with a suction cup base and heavy duty spring. It also comes with a pump and inflating needles, and measures 7.5” diam., 15"H. Yes, your co-workers may deem you weird for having this, but it beats those pesky assault charges you’ll narrowly avoid. Not surprisingly, the $32 USD Speed Bag is currently on backorder until early December.

Coughing and screaming ashtray

If you have a loved one who smokes a lot, here’s a gag gift they’ll (hopefully) appreciate. It’s the self-explanatory Coughing and Screaming Ashtray—which looks like a real pair of healthy lungs. But place a cigarette on it and…you guessed it…the ashtray starts making hacking and screaming sounds. Gets your point across while tempered with a dose of laughter. Should be great fun at parties, just don’t invite that one self-righteous smoker (we all know one) who won’t appreciate the joke. Available for $10 USD.
