Sylvania has unveiled their g Meso notebook. Weighing 2.2 lbs., it features 1.6 GHz Intel Atom and 80 GB hard drive with Windows XP Home or Ubuntu Netbook Remix. Available in black, white, yellow, or pink, it is webcam enabled, and has an 8.9-inch LED that is backlit. While it doesn’t look to be anything outstanding, it follows its previous g notebook, also not extremely “gotta have one.” That notebook runs for about $329.00 and we assume this one will go for about the same price.

Zoom has released the H4 Handy Digital Recorder for recording in 4 tracks that also serves as an audio interface. With it you can record 24bit/96KHz digital audio and MP3s with a 320 kbps bitrate. It features two condenser mics, has an included 512MB SD card, and 2 combo XLR-1/4-inch input jacks. Palmsize, it runs on 2 AA batteries, has a back-lit 128 x 64 pixel LCD display, and comes with a windshield cover and tripod adapter. We suspect audiophiles will realize that the $350.00 price tag is probably worth the extra expense after reading all the specs.

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: High Score, Short Bytes, Features, Home Entertainment, Podcasts, Software, Video Games, Videocasts, Videos,
For those of you out there who are fans of the Cooking Mama series of games for the Nintendo DS and Wii, you may be delighted to know that Majesco is about ready to spring the second installment of the Wii portion of the series on you, coming this October. We were able to get a quick demo of the game during E3 2008, and immediately realized that the successor to the original seems to be a better game all around. Specifically, a lot of the frustrating actions you needed to do in the original are replaced by very intuitive Wii Remote actions that anyone can pull off. Also, if you mess up, you aren’t pretty much eliminated like you were the first time around. A few new game modes round things out. Hit the video for all the details, and prepare yourself for more cartoony kitchen battles.

Sirius has finally completed their acquisition of XM. The company will now be called Sirius XM Radio (duh) and will consist of 18.5 million subscribers. They will have more exclusive programming in addition to Howard, Oprah, and Martha. Users have the option of maintaining their current packages, but it remains to be seen if SXM can get new $13.00 subscriptions and radio sales with the economy being the way it is. We think consumers may opt for a couple more gallons of gas instead.
