Hey guys Andru Edwards here, and today I wanted to talk to you about another Budget Tech Buy. In case you missed it, I started this series to bring forward gadgets that are inexpensive, but work really well. In this episode, I’m gonna show you how you can take advantage of the Bluetooth features of your smartphone in your car, even if your car itself doesn’t have Bluetooth as a feature, using the Nulaxy Bluetooth FM Transmitter.

There are a bunch of Bluetooth FM Transmitters out there, but the Nulaxy Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter is unique due to a few key features that I’ll talk about in a minute, while keeping the price er $20. I’ll leave a link to it in the description below so you can easily find it on Amazon. So, let’s get into what this thing can do.

In a nutshell, a Bluetooth FM transmitter connects to your device over Bluetooth, and then broadcasts the audio to your car using a built-in FM transmitter. So you pick a station in your car that doesn’t have a signal, and then you tune the Nulaxy adapter to that same station, and your radio will pick up the transmission and play whatever you’re streaming, whether it’s music, podcasts, phone calls, etc.

The Nulaxy model in particular has a 1.44" LED display right up front, which will show you information like the name of the song you’re listening to, the voltage of your car battery, and caller ID. The dial in the center is used for controlling the volume, and can also be pushed to play and pause the music.

You can also plug directly into the unit with the included auxiliary cable if you want to stream devices to your radio that don’t have Bluetooth, and also supports aux out if you’d rather plug this in directly to your vehicle rather than relying on the radio. Speaking of the radio, this will support all radio frequencies from 87.5 to 108, so you are covered there.

As for extras, you also get a built-in 2.1 amp USB charger that you can use to charge phones and tablets. If also has a microSD card reader that you can read cards up to 32GB, giving you another option of playing music without a dedicated Bluetooth device.
