Christina Ricci in her wedding gownWhile some celebrities were opting to raise some controversy this Halloween season, Christina Ricci was tucked away in New York marrying James Heerdegen.

The 33 year-old actress wed her Pan Am co-star in Givenchy last Saturday among family and friends in New York. The intimate ceremony took place at Manhattan's near century-old Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall.

Ricci and Heerdegen met on the swiftly-cancelled ABC series and recently went public with their relationship and engagement back in February.

VIDEO: Crowd Angered by Canceled Drake Concert

Note to promoters everywhere: Never underestimate the size of a free concert—especially when it involves a former star. In particular, a Degrassi star now known as Drake.

On Tuesday, an event promoted by Paper magazine was called off by police before it even started. The reason? Too many people and not enough security. Although organizers predicted approximately 10,000 to watch - and Hanson - perform, the crowd was more than twice that size. It was estimated that nearly 25,000 showed up at Pier 17 on Manhattan’s South Street Seaport.

Manhattan All Five Burroughs NESHave you ever wondered what Manhattan would look like from the perspective of a Nintendo RPG in the mid-80’s?  No?  Then you’re either a commie or were born too late to get my clever Breakfast Club John Bender impressions; either way, you’re a neo-maxi-zoom-dweeby.  For all of you who answered ‘yes’ to my previous query or at least started reminiscing about that time that you beat Mike Tyson, then this little time waster is for you.  Brett Camper, an MIT alum and a true friend to the geek in all of us if there ever was one, has created an 8-bit map of NYC’s 5 Burroughs at 8bitnyc.com.  So dig out your Dr. Mario shirt, press up-down-up-down-left-right-left-right-b-a-select-start and go get functionally lost in what Mapquest would’ve looked like over a 1kbps dial-up modem circa 1985.

Although the Hamptonites had originally planned to marry outside the city, the couple eventually opted for Manhattan’s Le Cirque restaurant. Ostrosky, 36, told People, “We’re going to get our friends together at a restaurant, very low-key.” (And by low-key, she meant only 180 guests.)

Celebrities present at yesterday’s ceremony include Joan Rivers, , Barbara Walters, Adam Carolla, Robin Quivers, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman. Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa’s finer half, presided over the service while Billy Joel performed two songs.

This is the first marriage for Ostrosky and the second for Stern. Howard, 54, has three daughters with ex-wife Alison Berns. Alison was one of the topics of his autobiography (and movie) Private Parts.
