It’s Sony’s turn to join in on the inexpensive, YouTube loving camcorders. The Webbie produces up to 8.5 hours of HD MPEG-4 video or thousands of 5 MP images. At a size of 2.4 x 1.7-inches, it houses a CMOS sensor and records on the company’s ultra-small Memory Stick PRO Duo media. The Webbie also features a 2.5 swivel screen, an 5x optical zoom and simplified software at a price of $199.99. This spring, they will also have an upright Webbie available for $169.99.

We had to share this collection of images that show you what we have long suspected, that after we go out for the evening or to bed, our toys really do come out and play. We wonder if the collection’s creators were into “Robot Chicken” or simply caught them in the act.

Not even 24 hours after we found the 3M MPRO110, we discovered Adtec’s AD-MP15A. This mini-projector also uses LED as a light source for 20,000+ hours of usage and works with a/v equipment, laptops and cell phones. The device has 15 lumens of brightness and a 200:1 contrast ratio. At a size of 27 x 58 x 90mm and a weight of 147g, the pocket-sized projector features a built-in 0.3W mono speaker and runs on a Lithium-ion battery that is good for about 40 min. The AD-MP hits Japan’s shelves sometime this month for ¥39,800 (~$427.00.)

Sharp AQUOS Photo Player

Sharp has two new AQUOS devices, the HN-PP100 and HN-PP150. Each is a cross between a 300 x 300 dpi photo printer and memory card reader. Display your images on your TV in one of their slideshow options or print them. The Photo Player also has an IR receiver for sending those photos to the player as well as an HDMI output. Unfortunately, the player does not have HD capability and can only store the photos if you have a NAS and the HN-PP150 model.

HP has unveiled their B8550 Photo Printer with its 5-ink system and extra large feed tray. With a 2.4-inch display, it has a maximum print resolution of 1200 x 1200, 128MB internal memory, and can print photos up to 13 x 19-inches. Polaroid to Make Digital Cams

Polaroid has decided to go back to what it does best, instant printing cameras. The digital cam will have an on-board printer for 4x3-inch prints, their original image size. Amateur Photographer is holding a competition for the company to help design it by asking 6 questions, such as whether you think it should have an external battery for extended printing. The competitions ends August 31. We assume you have to be a real photobug for this one because as far as we could tell, the prize is knowing that you contributed.
