Quote of the Day: Anna Wintour’s Daughter on Why She’s Not in Fashion

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: News,

Bee Shaffer at this year's Met Gala

"I'm 5ft 5in and I have huge boobs, like I'm not going to wear the same thing as Karlie Kloss... I've never been fashion-forward, I'm not that interested in fashion. I kind of wear the same thing all the time or, I know it's cliched to say, but jeans and T-shirts."

- Bee Shaffer, the daughter of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, explains why she never followed in her mom's footsteps (despite looking fabulous at this year's Met Gala - photo featured above).

Quote of the Day: British ‘Vogue’ Editor on Thin Models

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Health & Beauty, Models, News,

Alexandra Shulman

"People always say 'Why do you have thin models? That's not what real people look like,' but nobody really wants to see a real person looking like a real person on the cover of Vogue... I think Vogue is a magazine that's about fantasy to some extent and dreams, and an escape from real life... People don't want to buy a magazine like Vogue to see what they see when they look in the mirror. They can do that for free... I get fed up with having to deal with the question of why are models thin, that sort of bores me."

- Alexandra Shulman, editor of Vogue UK, explains why you won't be seeing any real-sized models under her reign of the fashion glossy.
