Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 unboxed!

We just got the Lumix DMC-ZS7 digital camera in for review, and we must say, we are pretty stoked. We were big fans of last year’s DMC-ZS3, and the ZS7 improves upon that model with a 16x intelligent optical zoom, 12.1 megapixel images, much improved facial recognition, and integration. We’re excited to put this one through the paces, especially with the built-in geotagging, and we will have that to you soon. In the meantime, we’ve put together a Lumix DMC-ZS7 unboxing gallery to show off the goods. Check it out!

JVC Picsio GC-FM1 should hit Japan by October

Posted by Mark Rollins Categories: Cameras, Handhelds,

JVC Picsio GC-FM1

It would appear that is going into the Kodak Z series territory with the Picsio GC-FM1.  As you can see, it is one of those rectangular frame jobs with 1080p video, 8-megapixel stills, a 2-inch LCD, as well as HDMI out.

These video cameras are set to hit Japan by the beginning of October for about $220.  However, we found this odd video that is reminiscent of Mr. Peanut and those animated M&M guys.  You might notice that there are at least two western languages (English and French) in the commercial.  We’re betting that it’ll make its way to Europe and North America soon.

Medion S470000

For those of you who are outdoor enthusiasts, you might appreciate the Medion Life S47000 digital high definition sports camcorder.  This camera is designed to be splash resistant, and it can belay onto your belt.  It allows filming of 720p H.264 videos, but only has 90MB worth of internal memory.  Fortunately, it comes with an SD/SDHC slot, so no worries about running out of space with the quickness. The S47000 also has a 2 inch screen.

I mentioned before that this might be good for outdoors people, but I don’t know if the S47000 is resilient enough for the extreme sports crowd.  Whatever the case, you can purchase it at the Medion online store for 99 Euros (about $164.)
