Microsoft's marketing department couldn't keep a lock on these four Windows 8 promo videos that have turned up on YouTube. One of the ads shows off the Microsoft Surface tablet, set to be released on October 26th. Get to stepping and get your Windows geek on--we've got all four videos after the jump!

T-Mobile launches ‘No More Mr. Nice Girl’ brand campaign (video!)

This morning, T-Mobile released the full version of its new "No More Mr. Nice Girl" campaign, which sees its spokesmodel, Carly, ditching the magenta dresses the normally wears in exchange for a magenta and black leather jumpsuit. She then hops on a Ducati and drives off, which we guess signifies that the company is no longer playing games and is getting serious about competing. We don't really know. I mean, if that were true, then they'd stop referring to HSPA+ as 4G, but, that seems to be the cornerstone of the new campaign. Ah well. At least Carly looks cool. Earlier this year, we got to hear Taylor Momsen (sort) of fronting a perfume commercial for John Galliano. Now, we actually get to see her in the ad.
Although we found it strange that she didn’t really appear in the first version, we’re kind of torn now. After watching both videos, let us know what you think. Do you like the Parlez-Moi d'Amour spot better when you’re focusing on her singing – or on her raccoon eyes?

Millions have seen the Google TV commercial starring Kevin Bacon as his own biggest fan. The ad left many scratching their heads … but, they were probably laughing when they were doing it. So, how does a one-minute ad spot become the stuff of legendary advertising? Take one actor who won’t compromise, some interesting hair and make-up ideas, and you’ve got commercial history.
“I didn’t know how far [Logitech] wanted to go with the look and the character. If it was just me kind of walking around, people would think it was weird,” Kevin Bacon explained. While people still think it’s a little bit weird, most seem to really “get” the ad -- and we’ve got Kevin Bacon to thank.

In this 1997 commercial for Shake ‘N Bake, a then 3-year-old star tells the audience that she “shooked and mom cooked.”
Is this child labor the reason why Momsen blames her parents for making her so miserable?
