Artist and fan Brent Engstrom has shared his latest painting renditions of Garbage Pail Kids series 3 trading cards. I'm a huge garbage Pail Kids fan, having spent my weekly $1 allowance on fourpacks each week way back in 1985 as a 5-year-old for months on end. You can check out the full collection of paintings over at Brent's blog. Definitely worth a look.

Museum of Modern Art begins collecting video games for new exhibit

Posted by John Kilhefner Categories: Action, Adventure, Culture, Puzzle

Museums must have something against Roger Ebert. First, the Smithsonian American Art Museum holds an exclusive video game event earlier this year, and now the New York City Museum of Modern Art is following suit.

MoMA is officially bringing in 14 videogame classics to begin an ongoing gaming collection that will go on display in March 2013 in the Philip Johnson Architecture and Design Galleries. Currently, the included games feature obvious choices such as Pac-Man, modern games like Portal, and obscure games like vib-ribbon. The collection MoMA is aiming for consists of about 40 titles, which will fall in as part of a "new category of artworks."

How to draw a perfect circle without any tools

Draw a perfect circle

If you draw anything like we do, attempting to put the pencil to paper to form a circle usually turns out in some sort of watermelon-shaped disaster. Until now. The video below offers a piece of advice that should allow anyone with at least two fingers to draw a perfect circle. It's actually pretty ingenius, really. You simply use one finger as the center point, and place the pencil on the paper similar to a compass. From there, you just rotate the page itself, rather than having to move your hand. Check the video to see how it's done.

Bronze Steve Jobs statue coming to Graphisoft Park

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Videos

A fan of aluminum and glass in life, former Apple CEO Steve Jobs is scheduled to be memorialized with bronze, in death. Hungarian software company Graphisoft is planning to unveil a bronze statue of Jobs on Dec. 21 as both a tribute to Jobs's life at Apple and for his support of Graphisoft itself during the 1980s.

"Apple gave us cash and computers at a time when Graphisoft was a young company with very limited resources; the technology represented by those computers was not even available in our part of the world," reads a statement on Graphisoft Park's Web site. "Even more valuable, Apple introduced us to its worldwide distribution network, which we rely upon to this day."

While Jobs, the innovator, constantly pushed Apple engineers to design smaller and smarter, Hungarian sculptor Erno Toth has built the bronze tribute statue at a slightly larger-than-life height of around six fee, five inches. Steve Jobs, the statue, will weigh approximately 485 pounds once complete.
