Diddy Beats packaging revealed
During CES 2010, Monster announced the Diddy Beats, an addition to the Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line. The Diddy Beats are leather-wrapped in-ears that sport a high-polished enamel end cap with the letters “db” on them. They should be available in March or April for $179, but for now, we’ve got a look at the packaging to hold you over.

Any idea how these sound compared to the Beats Tour? Seems like it would be similar. Also, any idea about how this design fits in the ear compared to the Tour? The Tour design is just a bit too long and tends to stick out too far from my ear. These seem like they might be better in that regard. Thanks!

Any idea how these sound compared to the Beats Tour? Very well written write-up. I literally enjoyed the concept described in the post. Once again nice work indeed.

These definitely don’t stick out from the ear as far as the Tour edition, however when looking at sound, we aren’t sure, because we haven’t heard them. That said, looking at price, they are more expensive than both the Tour and the Heartbeats, so we are guessing that they offer a more premium sound.

Created in conjunction with music entrepreneur and fashion icon Sean “Diddy” Combs, Diddy Beats integrate Dr. Dre’s incredible club-level bass, amazing clarity and sonic power into an elegant, sophisticated in-ear design, with their sleek black and silver chrome finish they look as great as they sound.

That’s a bit expensive isn’t it? Is the sound quality very good? Looks very nice though.

i think im one of the only people that dont notice the difference between a $50 and a $170+ one.

Does seem expensive. Does anybody have these yet? Possibly can comment from experience if they are good or not?

Diddy has been a trendsetter in both the music and fashion worlds. The Diddybeats are on the large size for earphones, which isn’t a surprise given their focus on style
