Cinecast: Emma Roberts Honors Julia, Wally Pfister Casts Johnny Depp

Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone+ Emma Roberts donned a blonde wig and mini skirt this Halloween, a nod to her famous aunt Julia's most iconic role from Pretty Woman.

+ Zoe Saldana was photographed on the set of her upcoming film Nina, a biopic of the famous jazz singer Nina Simone. Complete in a headwrap and beige shift dress, the actress also appears to be wearing makeup to darken her skin (many, including Simone's daughter, were upset that the light-colored actress Saldana was chosen to portray the dark-skinned legendary songstress).

+ Johnny Depp has been cast as the lead role in Inception cinematographer Wally Pfister's directorial debut, Transcendence, which will see him play a man who will be sucked into an evil computer he created.

+ Michael Fassbender will take on the lead role in the film adaptation of the popular video game Assasin's Creed, where he plays a time traveler who operates around significant historical events.

Elizabeth Olsen: ‘Women Need to Watch More Porn’

Elizabeth OlsenElizabeth Olsen thinks that women need to watch more porn.

The actress has ruled out taking on the lead role of Anastasia Steele, a young woman who is introduced to the world of bondage and kinky sex by manipulative billionaire Christian Grey, in the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, and thinks that its impact on society means people need to watch more porn.

"It's had a huge impact on society. Apparently rope sales have skyrocketed because women who've read the book are really getting into bondage, which is kind of great. It's such a taboo for women to actually discuss sexuality without the help of Cosmopolitan. All of a sudden, this book has become a sensation because the women reading it haven't had access to this kind of thing before. I was talking to a guy who was making a joke about it, saying, 'Clearly, these women just need to watch porn.' In a way, he's right."

While Elizabeth doesn't want the role, Emma Roberts recently revealed she would jump at the chance to star in the movie: "Everyone says read Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't really understand. But everyone on the plane was reading it, and I was like, 'I should probably just get it.' I haven't read it, I don't even understand, but yeah, it sounds awesome. Anything racy, hot. Sure, let's get hot."

Scream Queens: Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Horror, Sequels, Casting, Upcoming Releases,

Scream 4The cast of Scream 4 has room for all, it seems - including an Oscar winner and the girl next door.

Anna Paquin and have both been confirmed to the cast of the horror flick, joining Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette, Hayden Panettiere and Adam Brody on the set.

Dimension Films has offered no hints on the characters Paquin and Bell will play, but we do know that will play Jill, the film’s heroine (and therefore, least likely to be brutally murdered onscreen).

The movie will be released in April 2011.
