Robert Pattinson Fears Non-Twilight Films
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Drama, Romance, Science Fiction, Sequels, Thrillers, Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Filmmaking, Rumors, Upcoming Releases,
Despite already landing roles outside of the vampire series, Robert Pattinson finds taking on work outside of the Twilight franchise “scary.”
The actor, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the hit movie series, says that it is more difficult to take on new roles now that he is so famous because there are so many things to consider.
“You get offered stuff that you would never dream of getting offered before, but that’s also scary. You don’t have to audition for anything. But I don’t want to do a movie just so it gets made. You have to question yourself a lot more. Before Twilight, I did any movie that I got offered, and you’d try and make the best of it afterwards. But now, you’re expected to come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but also a performance as well. You can’t just mess around. People are like, ‘We’re employing you to be here, as a star and an actor.’ It’s difficult, and it’s scary.”
After recently working on the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, Robert is looking forward to taking on some radically different projects before getting to work on fourth installment Breaking Dawn.
“I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall next year. Depending on how things go, I’m doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, an adaptation to a Guy de Maupassant novel. And I’m doing - I hope - a Western with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman called Unbound Captives sometime around there as well. They’ve got to try and juggle things around until everybody’s schedules work.”
Man Basher Ashley Greene

Word to the wise, guys: don’t make Ashley Greene angry.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon actress is a huge fan of martial arts and says it makes her feel empowered when she practices her skills on men.
“I think part of it is that it’s really empowering and part of it is because it’s fun. It’s incredible to see what your body can do and what you’re capable of and not needing a weapon to defend yourself is a really great thing. It puts my dad at ease and gives him a little piece of mind. I started doing martial arts when I was really young and I ended up sparring with boys instead of girls because I was that into it and I didn’t want to beat up the girls. It’s a fun thing and I’ve always been really athletic.”
Ashley, 22, is planning on increasing her martial arts training after being put through her paces by the trainers on the third installment of the vampire franchise The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
“I’m definitely going to get more involved in it. When we were filming Eclipse we had fight training for about six weeks, so that kind of re-sparked that bug. I had a personal trainer on top of that and they had us do mixed martial arts fighting as well.”
Ashley Greene Calls Eclipse Guy Friendly
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Action, Adaptation, Drama, Romance, Sequels, Filmmaking, Rumors, Scripts, Upcoming Releases,
Of the third installment of the Twilight saga, Eclipse, actress Ashley Greene assures us that it is “guy friendly.”
Pointing to the fact that director David Slade, who helmed both 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy (I know what you’re thinking), wants to take the Twilight film in a darker direction.
“I think it’ll be different.I think it’s going to be a battle between the studio and the director, and it’s going to be a hard balance, ‘cause I think he’s… a little more focused on it being real and maybe it being gorier and a little dark and kind of dramatic.”
She went on to describe how the first film centers on love, whereas Eclipse will focus on the vampire-werewolf drama, hence leading to more action sequences.
“The first one was very focused on this love story and really sweet and it was beautiful, but it didn’t have a lot of stuff that guys would go, ‘Yeah, I want to go see that.’ There’s going to be a lot more focus on [action], and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly.”
The film is slated for a June 30, 2010 release.

Jenna Dewan Wanted Channing Tatum in Eclipse
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Adaptation, Romance, Science Fiction, Sequels, Casting, Celebrity Gossip, Upcoming Releases,
What is wrong with Channing Tatum? Not only did Twilight author Melissa Rosenberg say that he would be perfect for the role of Riley, but so did his wife, Jenna Dewan!
“I totally tried to get him to do it. I was like, ‘Baby, do Twilight!’ Oh, my god. I’m a huge Twilight fan. I’ve read all the books. So I was like, ‘You should do it, you should do it, you should do it!’”
Unfortunately for the two women, Tatum hesitated too long; Xavier Samuel has since snatched up the Eclipse role.
