It’s Tiger Day - The New Mac OS Launches
I am thinking that, while only 5% of computers sold are Mac’s, today’s Tiger release is going to be a big deal. Despite the efforts of some to see that it didn’t happen, Apple is going to be launching Tiger in a big way. Be sure to hit your local Apple Store to be a part of the festivities.

I got my copy 25 minutes ago via Fedex. It’s installing now.

I was thinking about getting this but the only thing I really want is widgets...I think they would be fun for about 30 mins and that would be it.

oh, I thought this came out a few days ago....heheh
.
I don’t even think I am going to install it right now. My mac mini still has the default 256k memory and it probably wouldn’t like this much heheh.

I just got back from one of the Tiger release parties (Tucson AZ.) Damn, it was awesome, but very crowded. I posted a couple pictures here

Wow Scilynt...256*K* of RAM? Sounds like you got screwed.
I can’t remember the last time I had that much memory...maybe my Apple IIGS?
munkyxtc, if all you want are widgets, download Konfabulator. Nice program for both Mac OS X and Windows that do widgets very well.

yeah it is the default config for the mac minis. Every review that I have read about the mac minis points out that that is just not enough memory to make it run smooth. No idea why apple would not just make it have 512 default to make it more stable and quick.
oh well, not like it is that much to get some more memory heheh
