Tiger Direct Tries To Knock OS X Tiger Off Course
I love stupid lawsuits - they put a smile on my face. This is why I chuckled with glee as I read the email telling me of how Tiger Direct - one of the worst IT resellers around - has decided to sue Apple over the Tiger moniker. Apparently, they don’t like how Apple has been referring to their new operating system as “Tiger”, and go on to say that the suit is meant “to stop further damage to Tiger Direct’s well-known Tiger brand.” Wow. Good thing they waited until the day before Tiger is set to be released to drop that one on us. Good show.

Considering Apple would sue a blind crippled child if the opportunity presented itself I can’t say I feel sorry for them.
Looks good on you Apple!

Actually Tiger Direct is no where near the worst IT reseller around.
They actually have a decent reputation.
Yes, this should have been done a LONG time ago, but we don’t know the details.
Like, perhaps thay have been TRYING to talk to Apple about this all along and haven’t gottten a straight answer (something Apple is famous for doing) so finally had to take it a step further.
Considering they sell Apple you would think they would have tried to avoid suing them…
Just my 2 cents worth…

Another charade in the IT business. The competition is really hot and companies get involved very often. Lawsuits will not help any of the company. I have this feeling that they using this for publicity. Companies usually do this when they have a new product to be released.
