Nick Cannon "wasn't concerned" Nicki Minaj would be a threat to his wife Mariah Carey's safety after their American Idol argument.
The two went head-to-head on the judging panel of the show last week, with Nicki at one point threatening to shoot the "Hero" singer and filming having to be called off, but Nick claims he was not "worried" about what was said and believes it made "good news" for the series.
"I wasn't concerned. That's exactly what you called it - drama. With drama, it's theatrics. I'm not worried about that stuff. I wasn't there. It made for good news. It sounded good, right? Good job, Fox!" he told E! News.
Mariah was supposedly so nervous about what Nicki said - at one point calling for her head to be cut off - she beefed up her security detail. However, a friend of Mariah's said she would not let the "Starships" hitmaker ruin her time on American Idol because she has dealt with "far worse" in her long career: "She's not going to let this faze her now - the outbursts won't faze her. She'll handle [it] with poise and grace. Mariah has dealt with far worse in her career."

Chris Brown has turned to reality TV star Drita D'Avanzo to help him sort out his love life.
The "Yeah 3X" singer - who dumped his girlfriend of more than one year Karrueche Tran last week because of his "friendship" with his former flame Rihanna and admitted he is in love with both girls - has found an unlikely confidante in Mob Wives star Drita.
The reality star told the New York Post's Page Six ,"We don't talk every day." But she said she could relate to Chris because she has been in similar situations in the past. She said, "I have been in relationships that were rocky," but declined to comment further on any specific discussions she's had with the singer.
Chris is said to have sought Drita's advice about his high profile love triangle but she would only confirm they are friends, saying she first met the 23-year-old R&B singer last August at New York nightclub W.I.P. on the same night he was involved in a bottle-throwing fight with Drake's entourage.

Katy Perry Single Again After Splitting from John Mayer

Katy Perry has broken up with John Mayer again. The "Part of Me" singer is said to have told the "Half of my Heart" singer to lose her number because he cannot commit.
"John just can't commit, and he kept luring Katy back with promises that was going to change, but then he didn't. Katy was pretty crazy about him, so she kept giving him another chance. John liked Katy, so he wanted to keep her in his life, but it just wasn't up to Katy's standards. She needs the guy to be on board 100 percent and she was sick of John disappearing for five days at a time, then booty calling her, then straightening up and treating her well, only to go back to his old behavior a few days later. Finally she was like 'lose my number,'" a source told Radar Online.
The on-again/off-again couple first began dating in early August but split after just two weeks with friends saying it was only a casual rebound romance following her divorce from Russell. The pair reconciled a few weeks later but this time they have split for good, according to reports.

Despite Christina Aguilera telling her record company that they're "working with a fat girl" from now on, the former Voice mentor looks as thin as any other pop starlet these days on her new album cover for Lotus.
The 31 year-old posted the sneak peek of the cover - which looks like it took inspiration from Botticelli's The Birth of Venus - through her Twitter account: "Conceptually I didn’t target one particular sound/genre. I made music that felt good."
Lotus is due to hit stores on November 19.

"Hitchcock dressed her up in a wig and did everything could to make the beautiful Vera Miles look frumpy. What Hitch tried to do to Vera we tried to do to Jessica, and the results were equally ridiculous. It is not possible to make Jessica Biel dowdy," said Hitchcock director Sacha Gervasi.

Neil Young Curious About Writing Songs Sober

Neil Young was "curious" about writing songs without drugs or alcohol. The legendary singer/songwriter gave up drinking and smoking cannabis last year, and initially wondered if he'd still be able to function as a songwriter without them.
Speaking about writing without being under the influence, he said, "I was never really worried about it, other than I was curious about it, in a day-to-day way. I'd go, 'Wow, I've not written a song in a long time. This is very different.' I didn't know at the time what was going to happen so I was discovering it, and now I've discovered that it doesn't matter."
The "Heart of Gold" hitmaker has also written his memoirs, and admits he'd never had an urge to write them until he broke his foot and was unable to play live for a while. "When I broke my toe I was just sitting there going, 'What am I gonna do now? I thought: 'Why don't I just do that book?' It gives me relief, it gives me something else to do so that music doesn't wear me out, so that I don't wear the music out. Everything should be taken in its own dose. You don't want to OD on music and then the music loses its potency. If that's all I did, it wouldn't be as good. I think if you don't have some obsession in your life, you're dead," he told The Guardian.
Oprah Supports Rihanna’s Reunion with Chris Brown

Oprah Winfrey has given Rihanna's reunion with Chris Brown her blessing. The chat show queen - who recently interviewed the "Diamonds" singer on her show Oprah's Next Chapter about her relationship with the R&B singer who assaulted her in 2009 - praised the pop princess for being able to forgive him.
"You know what I loved about that interview is that she came with a big, wide open heart. She was in the space of forgiveness. And that she learned a lesson, that she was repeating with Chris Brown exactly what she needed to learn from her father," she told Extra.
During their interview in August, Rihanna spoke about her memories of her father Ronald Fenty being physically abusive to her mother and how she learned to forgive him. Oprah said she does not think less of the popstar for reuniting with Chris: "I think that if she is prepared to deal with that and is prepared to help him help himself then so be it. I have no judgment whatsoever. If that's how you choose to lead your life, that's really okay."
Anna Kendrick Wants Downton Role

Anna Kendrick is desperate for a role on Downton Abbey.
The 27-year-old actress is a huge fan of many British TV shows but thinks her dream of appearing in the period drama is "inappropriate" as it isn't likely to come true. "I just watched Game of Thrones and the first two seasons of Downton Abbey. I have the most inappropriate fantasies about being on those shows - there's not a part for a tiny American girl in either, but I can dream," she said.
Anna is also a huge fan of talent show The X Factor, and was thrilled when girl group Little Mix won last year. "I have to catch up on Sherlock and X Factor. I loved that group who won last year, Little Mix. During their first performance I wanted to scream at the TV, 'Do you guys know that these are really good, really solid vocals.'"
And TV isn't the only thing Anna loves about the UK - she has "cravings" for English tea: "Every time I go to England the first thing I do is have tea. I crave it to the point where I panic, 'What am I going to do when I get home? I don't have a kettle.' But then the craving disappears - it's like something's pumped into the air."

Scarlett Johansson is allegedly "incredibly bitter" about Ryan Reynolds marrying Blake Lively.
The Avengers actress - whose divorce from Ryan was finalized in 2011 after four years together - is said to be convinced he cheated on her with the Gossip Girl star while they were still married and was distraught over the couple's recent nuptials.
"Even though there is no evidence behind it, Scarlett has convinced herself that Ryan cheated on her with Blake. She's incredibly bitter about it. In a way, Scarlett feels like Blake actually stole Ryan from her, because it was when he started shooting Green Lantern with Blake in 2010 that everything fell apart," a source told The National Enquirer.
The 27-year-old actress was shocked to discover the couple had thrown a secret wedding reception in South Carolina on September 9 and was especially hurt Ryan remarried so quickly, after only a year of dating Blake. "Ryan and Blake's wedding has brought back a lot of pain for Scarlett. She's sure that Blake deliberately seduced Ryan, even though she knew he was attached at the time. On top of that, she feels like it's a huge slap in the face that Ryan would remarry this fast. Scarlett is happy and dating, but she assumed he would wait a few years before he tied the knot again," the insider added.

Johnny Depp Hurts His Back on Lone Ranger Set

Johnny Depp injured his back shooting The Lone Ranger.
The 49-year-old actor was left writhing in pain on two occasions during action scenes for the Western film - in which he plays Native American Tonto opposite Armie Hammer, who portrays the title character - and he has now realized he can't do many of his own stunts and needs to rely more on a double.
"While it's been hard to accept that he can't perform such demanding feats anymore, Johnny is seeing it. He threw out his back twice while shooting the movie and then had to push through, getting massages in between takes," a source told Star.
As well as suffering with back pain, Johnny has also been struggling with insomnia on set. But the director Gore Verbinski and the crew have been sympathetic to the sleep problems the Hollywood star has been experiencing and have adjusted shooting schedules for him. "Johnny is also struggling with sleep problems so the crew has had to adjust to the fact that he can't shoot all night. He needs at least six hours of shut eye. This movie has really kicked his butt. He's so happy it's wrapping up and has joked that his body wouldn't be able to take another month of it," the source added.
