Livescribe Pulse Smartpen Finally Available

Pulse SmartpenWe finally received word from Livescribe that the Pulse Smartpen has arrived and is ready to order. Choose between a 1GB for $149.99 and a 2GB model for $199.99 with up to 200 hours of recording time. You can also purchase extra cartridges and a 4-pack of single spiral notebooks (one comes with the pen.) While still only compatible with Windows, the company says that they are working on a Mac version. Expect a ship date of about 4 to 6 weeks from purchase date, just in time to get back to school after Spring Break.

The Gais Faltima Series 010 may have an odd name but can do a lot. It plays music and data CDs, MP3s and WMA by USB, MP3 and WMA files by SD card and analog 33, 45 and 78 records. It also features an AM/FM tuner, front controls and number display. But the best part is that while the tunes are playing, the device will record them to another media form. At a price of $499.99, this one is so far only available in Japan, but we it expect will find its way elsewhere by the next holiday season.

American Idol: Why it’s No Good to Be Too Good

Then, go out and find these incredible singers and let American decide which one gets to experience fame. But scratch the surface of , and there’s much more involved than just singing.

Last year’s winner Jordin Sparks had dismal first week record sales (the lowest in Idol history), though she beat out twenty-three other fantastic singers just to seal the deal. Steroid Allegations Shake Up Music Industry

50 CentYou don’t have to be buff to make a music video - but it certainly does help. Just ask rapper-turned-superstar , who first made an impression with his pecs (not his rhymes). Recently, R&B notables , , and , among others, were named for steroid use by the media. Now, we just have to find out if it’s true. But what if it is? is competitive, sure, but it’s not a sport. The only trophies awarded are - and aren’t these given for sound, not looks?

Currently, officials are saying there is nothing to indicate the celebs broke the law. They are, however, being investigated. So far, only the Blige representative has answered the charges with a resounding denial. The other recording artists accused have not commented. Congressional hearings which will delve into steroid abuse in the baseball industry will begin this month.
