Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer Shocked by Co-Star’s Meltdown

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, CBS, Gossip,

Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. JonesAshton Kutcher and Jon Cryer were shocked by Angus T. Jones' meltdown.

The 19-year-old actor - who stars on Two And A Half Men with Ashton and John - launched a tirade against the sitcom calling it "filth" in a video with his church pastor and while Jon was surprised, he felt living through former co-star Charlie Sheen's falling out with creator Chuck Lorre left him better prepared for it than Ashton.

"It is surreal to be part of several internet s**t storms. When the latest one happened Ashton came up to me and he looked like he had seen a ghost and he was like, 'Did you hear about Angus?' and I was like, 'He is ok?' He said, 'Sort of,' and he showed me the video. And as I said having become a veteran of the internet s**t storm afterward I just looked at Ashton and said, 'Well do you think he still wants to go in on the crew gift?' It's just been one after the other. My life has taken a lot of strange turns. Mostly I'm just glad everybody is still alive," Jon said.

Justin Bieber Blasts Lindsay Lohan Comparisons

Justin Bieber and Lindsay Lohan

Justin Bieber has insisted he is nothing like Lindsay Lohan. The "Beauty And A Beat" singer lashed out at comparisons to the 26-year-old troubled starlet - who is set to go on trial next week after being charged with lying to police about a car accident and is also battling to pay her huge tax bills following a downward spiral which saw enter rehab and jail several times in recent years - in a lengthy rant on Instagram as he attempted to defend his recent bad behavior.

The 19-year-old popstar, who was criticized after he performed two hours late in London and threatened a photographer earlier this month, said he is nothing like the Liz & Dick actress, writing, "And to those comparing me to Lindsey (sic) Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements."

James Franco Angers His Neighbors

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rants,

James FrancoJames Franco has been accused of disrupting a neighborhood by running a film company from his home.

The 34-year-old actor has angered residents in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, after he purchased a house there last summer but reportedly failed to move there, instead leaving it for the use of his production workers, who block locals' driveways with their vans.

In a complaint obtained by real estate blog LA.curbed.com, the residents wrote, "At first [we] were pleased to have Mr. Franco living next door. His work in Milk and his academic pursuits made us happy he was on our street. That is no longer the case. If, in fact, Mr. Franco has purchased the house next door, it does not appear to be inhabited by the actor; it does appear to be inhabited by several people who are working for him. The property has become a production house. In fact, Iris, who works for the actor, informed me that they are running production from the house. Iris basically informed me they could do whatever they want on their property. Really? Running a production of such impact and magnitude in a residential area doesn't violate any zoning restrictions? Are there no limits to the kinds of businesses one can run?"

One Direction with Matthew Fox inset

Matthew Fox despairs of his daughter's love for One Direction.

While the Alex Cross star's 15-year-old daughter Kyle is a huge fan of the boy band, Alex doesn't rate their music and is trying to convince her to change her musical tastes. "She's a huge One Direction fan. She's got this major crush on Harry Styles. And I'm a huge music fan and we're having that classic father-child argument about music right now. So I'm trying to encourage her to explore music that's outside of the boy bands," he told chat show host Conan O'Brien.

Trent Reznor Blasts “Fashion” Music

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Reunions, Pop, Rock,

Trent ReznorTrent Reznor thinks modern music is "more fashion than substance." The Nine Inch Nails mastermind says technology makes it easier for people to create their musical ideas, without necessarily having to learn to play an instrument first.

"I don't really care if you can play an instrument or not. I don't think that's a mandatory skill required to make music that can connect with people. I do think computers have made it easy to make lazy music that sounds nice. I find a fair amount of what's championed today feels to me like it falls in that category - much more fashion than substance. There's also a lot of current music I think is great - and as someone pointed out below, The Knife is a good example," he said, writing on Reddit.com.

Trent has recently announced he has put a new live line up for Nine Inch Nails together which will tour over the summer: "The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014. Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon."

"Bieber, put your f---ing shirt on (sic)," she wrote.

One fan tweeted, "justin probably doesn't even know who [footballer] joey barton or olivia wilde are LOL you guys just hate from the back." Another simply wrote, "@oliviawilde i'll punch you in your face (sic)."

Morrissey Slams Modern Musicians

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Gossip, Alternative, Pop, Rock,

MorrisseyMorrissey has slammed modern musicians as having "nothing to offer."

The 53-year-old singer believes people are "encouraged not to think" so outspoken or political artists are not able to flourish, and few pop acts are able to work on their own terms.

"The arts have diminished, because we are now living through a time when we are encouraged not to think. No one making music wants to waste time struggling with art. A group like the Sex Pistols would never again be allowed to slip through, and there is no such thing in 2013 as a popular artist who sets their own terms for success. Whether it be Beyonce or Justin Bieber, we see singers who have absolutely nothing to offer anyone as they walk offstage clutching three Grammys in each hand," he said.

The "Panic" hitmaker also hit out at global stars such as Madonna - whom he branded McDonna - and claimed they are not loved by their audiences in the way he is adored by his fans:

Ethan Hawke Calls the Oscars “Destructive”

Ethan HawkeEthan Hawke thinks the Oscars are "destructive."

The actor-and-screenwriter has previously received two nominations for the biggest awards in the movie business - for Best Supporting Actor in Training Day in 2002, and Best Adapted Screenplay for Before Sunset in 2004 - but he doesn't like the way the Academy Awards force films into being ranked.

"People want to turn everything in this country [America] into a competition ... So it's clear who the winner is and who the loser is. It's why they like to announce the grosses of movies, because it's a way of saying, 'This one is Number One' It's so asinine. If you look at how many forgettable, stupid movies have won Oscars and how many mediocre performers have Oscars above their fireplace. Making a priority of chasing these fake carrots and money and dubious accolades, I think it's really destructive."

Vivienne Westwood Picks on Duchess Catherine

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, News,

Vivivenne WestwoodDuchess Catherine can't seem to please anyone in the fashion world.

First Matthew Williamson slammed the future queen - known at the time by her maiden name Kate Middleton - on her style, and now Vivienne Westwood is chastising the royal for not recycling her clothes.

"I don't have any advice for her, [although] I think it would be great if she wore the same clothes over and again, because that's very good for the environment and it would send out a very nice message. If you're going to all that trouble to get an outfit that suits you, then you should keep on wearing it. I mean you don't have to have a red outfit one day and then something almost the same in blue the next," the veteran designer said at London Fashion Week.

While it's humorous that Westwood - who herself puts out a new collection of clothes at least twice a year - called Duchess Catherine out for not recycling her clothes, Fashion Police correspondant Kelly Osbourne blasted her about re-wearing her clothes a couple years back!
