No Suckiness Here: Kelly Clarkson Offers Preview of New Single
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Upcoming Releases, Pop,
Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You,” the first single on her upcoming album, can now be previewed through Amazon.com. Upon hearing the track, it’s possible to forget all the troubles that so recently plagued Kelly. It’s possible to believe she’ll be back on top of the music world soon.
American Idol’s first winner quickly became a pop princess and viable hit maker. Her first album, Thankful, debuted at number one on the Billboard chart. Her next project, the Grammy-winning album Breakaway, showed that Clarkson could offer some edge with her music, as well. In 2006, it looked like Kelly Clarkson’s success was unstoppable.
But while working on her third album My December, Clarkson suffered a public split with her management company and had reported troubles with her label. She canceled a summer tour and suffered a few negative headlines, but Clarkson started to pull through. The album became a success, and now Kelly’s all set to release more scintillating singles for her listeners.
Go ahead and treat your ears to the not-so-sucky preview, but you’ll have to wait until March before the rest of Clarkson’s album becomes available.

Nip/Tuck Returns After A Year Away
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Cable, FX, Nip/Tuck, Video,
Although the image of actress Sharon Gless (Colleen Rose) turning a Hollywood agent into a large Build-A-Bear is still fresh on my mind, it’s surprisingly been a year since Nip/Tuck was last on air. (The show was temporarily halted in February 2008 because of the writers’ strike.)
So where exactly did the series leave off? Julia was shot by Eden, Christian and Annie were involved in a car accident on their way to the hospital, Matt started sleeping with his half-sister and Sean was stabbed in the back (literally) by Colleen.
To get a clue as to what the remaining episodes of Season 5 have in store for us, check out the preview above. Nip/Tuck returns to FX this Tuesday, January 6th at 10:00.
Check Out Another Sneak Peek of Lost
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, Lost, Video,
Still wondering why Kate and Aaron were running in that last promo for Lost? Well, this new clip might just tell you what you need to know.
Question now is: Where the heck are they going to? And where is Jack?
Lost returns to ABC beginning Wed, January 21 @ 9 PM.
Preview ABC’s Version of Scrubs
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, ABC, Scrubs, Video,
The time has finally come. After seven years on NBC, Scrubs will soon make ABC its new home.
So what changes, if any, should we expect from the relocated the series? Judging from the promo above, not much. I mean - if you don’t count that that new sexy Chief of Medicine. (Courteney Cox Arquette will appear on the program’s first three episodes.)
What do you think of the new teaser? Did it do enough to make you switch networks come January 6th?

Listen to Britney Spears Circus album now, in full
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Upcoming Releases, Pop, Free Music Downloads,
It looks like Britney Spears has a marketing team in place that “gets” this whole social media game that all the cool kids are playing these days. Case in point, not only are they not concerned with album leaks, they’ve teamed with IMEEM for an exlusive pre-release landing page that lets you listen to all the tracks on Britney’s upcoming Circus album, which is set for a December 2 release. You can go there, right now, and listen to all 13 tracks in their entirety (and, for some reason, they included Radar again on this album - it was already on her last album, Blackout.)
They’ve also got a bunch of videos related to Britney, including a few music videos, music playlists, video playlists, photos, and more. It’s really well done, and anything that gives me early access to music gets a thumbs up from me. You can pre-order the album in CD form, or as downloadable MP3s, from Amazon.
[Thanks, Alana!]

A Problem with Previews
Posted by Jonas Hinckley Categories: Editorials, Image Comics,

I’m going to assume that anybody taking the time to read about comics online is familiar with Previews, that strange hybrid of retailer catalog and consumer buying guide (and major publisher propaganda piece) put out on a monthly basis that contains the full range of items filling your local comic shop’s shelves.
I use Previews sort of like I used to use TV Guide back in the day when that was just a weekly pamphlet: it allows me to more or less keep tabs on the goings-on of hundreds of series without having to either purchase or read every single thing that comes out, which is way beyond my budgetary means.
But in order for this to work for me—and, I’d say, for retailers looking to gauge interest in a title—both the art and the copy for each solicit really has to grab you. And this is my current quibble… which is probably less with Previews than it is with whoever’s handling copy for Image Comics, but details, shmetails. Accompanying the cover of issue 58 of Invincible is the following text:

See the First Clips of Shannen Doherty on 90210
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Video,
If you’ve been wondering how the old 90210 vets would mesh with the current students of West Beverly, here’s your chance to make a snap judgment.
My first thoughts? Shannen Doherty‘s face looks puffy, AnnaLynne McCord is as disgustingly beautiful as she was on Nip/Tuck and Shenae Grimes looks like she’s still at Degrassi.
In other words: This is Must See TV.
90210 starts its school year on September 2nd.

In this trailer for the upcoming season of The Hills, we finally get to see all of the drama we already read about in Us Weekly months ago.
