Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gizmatic, Accessories, Apple, Features, Handhelds, Podcasts, Software, Videocasts, Videos,
The crew from GDGT rolled into town a couple of days ago, and our pals from Sonos were there to show off their upcoming Sonos Controller for iPad remote control app. We talk with Sonos rep Thomas Meyer about what makes their iPad app special and unique, and show the differences between it and the smaller Sonos Controller for iPhone. We definitely can’t wait to see this one hit the App Store, which they say will happen before the end of the year.
To use the Sonos Controller for iPad, you’ll need at least one Sonos zone. We love the product, and if you wanna get started enjoying the world of Sonos, might we recommend the Sonos S5?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Artist News, Pop,
An entire garden dedicated to Michael Jackson will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the National Museum of Dance. The permanent garden display will be completed in August.
The garden was inspired by a Michael Jackson fan group, which called the museum to inform curators that a very large floral shipment would arrive on the day Jackson is inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Using the gift as their inspiration, museum officials and a local florist have decided to create a permanent floral display in honor of the King of Pop. The fan club will pick up the tab for the project.

Quote of the Day: Marc Jacobs on Jersey Shore, Britney Spears
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, News,

“OK, recently I watched every episode of Jersey Shore‘s first season. I don’t know if it was any good and I certainly didn’t learn anything, but it was definitely hypnotic and it gave my brain a vacation. As for music, I know everyone associates me with edgy rock, but there are times when I just want to hear Britney Spears singing ‘Womanizer, Womanizer…’ over and over. I know, I know, it’s Britney! But I told you. I love imperfection.”

Charice Gets Cosmetic Treatments for Big Glee Debut
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Music, Prime Time, FOX, Rumors, Video,
Fresh-faced Filipino singer Charice Pempengco, who made quite a stir after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age 15, underwent multiple cosmetic treatments before beginning her first day of shooting on the FOX hit Glee. Reportedly, Charice, 18, wanted to “look fresh.”
It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world. Charice went through 30 minutes of Thermage skin-tightening and Botox so her “naturally round” face would look a little more narrow on camera, according to cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo.
The unorthodox decision has created a hot debate in the media. How young is too young for Botox, skin-tightening and anti-aging treatments? The answer seems to be: 18. What do you think? Is Charice going a little overboard to appear Glee, or is she just playing the regular Hollywood game?

Janet Jackson Finds Nothing Wrong With Boy Toys
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Dating, Hook-ups, Child Stars, Where Are They Now?,
Janet Jackson says there is nothing wrong with dating younger men. The 44-year-old singer-and-actress says it’s her prerogative if she wants to go out with younger guys and insists an age gap shouldn’t get in the way of love.
Janet has recently been linked to millionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana who is almost a decade younger than her.
“It’s horrible. It’s really awful. And I have to believe it was a man that started that. Mother always raised us to believe that age was just a number. All of us - my sisters, my brothers - we’ll just tell you our ages because it’s all about where you are mentally and how you feel about yourself,” Janet said, speaking about the criticism that comes with having a toy boy.
Janet, who is the youngest of the Jackson family, believes she is more confident now than ever before. The star - who was in a seven-year relationship with music producer Jermaine Dupri - added in an interview with Essence magazine, “There comes a time when you don’t give an ‘F’ what people say or think. You just do your thing because it’s finally about you and not in a selfish way but in a great way.”

American Idol Tour Stops Canceled, Changed
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Concerts / Tours,
The American Idol 9 tour isn’t as popular as producers might have hoped.
The news is not surprising, since ratings for the 500-pound reality gorilla have been slipping and the show lost its most popular cast member at the end of the season. Seven cities (Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City, Omaha, Portland, Toronto and Winnipeg) have been stricken from the tour entirely, while another eight shows have been rescheduled in an effort to gain more ticket sales.
American Idol crowned its ninth winner in May (Lee DeWyze), the first season in which Paula Abdul was absent from the show.
