Belkin has just released details on their TuneStudio for iPod. This thing is fairly amazing. It’s a portable mixer that records directly to an iPod, and connects to a computer as well. If you are a DJ, or even a podcaster, this thing is awesome. Imagine having four inputs all recording directly into your iPod for immediate playback - even better, throw in a computer, and that gives you an extra output to work with, and it’s program independent. It works with both Macs and PCs, and will run for $179 when it launches in Summer 2007.

It takes about 16 hours to charge, so an overnighter is smart with these - but seriously, nine hours of extra power is fantastic. This battery runs about $199 USD. The company also has a battery for portable devices that provide about 55 hours of power for $69.99 USD.

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gizmatic, Short Bytes, Accessories, CES, CES 2007, Features, Peripherals, Transportation, Videocasts,
For anyone not wanting to get screwed by their local auto mechanics shop, DATZOO offers their FixDat personal diagnostics tool. You just hook the device up to your vehicle when you suspect something has gone awry, and it will run a complete diagnostic test on your car to tell you exactly what the deal is. You can then bring your car in for fixing with full knowledge of exactly what’s wrong to make sure it gets fixed, and not broken further. We even get a bonus proof of concept at the end, although it was told by a DATZOO representative, so, you know, grain of salt?
