Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Share Hotel Suite

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Rumors,

Kristen Stewart and Robert PattinsonLet the guessing game continue: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are living together.

The New Moon co-stars, who play lovers in the vampire thriller and are rumored to be dating in real life, are reportedly sharing a penthouse hotel suite while they film the third instalment of the film franchise in Vancouver, Canada. The pair are believed to have rented out the entire 34th floor of the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel at a cost of $850 a suite each night.

A source told Britain’s More magazine, “They have two rooms joined by a door. They use a third suite on the floor to listen to music or watch Blu-ray movies on a large, flat screen, when they stay in after a day’s shooting or on weekends.”

Each lavish suite boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a large living room. The source added, “They’re great. Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows and large, flat screen TVs and chandeliers. The baths double as Jacuzzis. And, best of all, that floor has its own butler and security. Robert and Kristen are transported to and from the set by accessing a private elevator system in the hotel that leads to a gated and guarded garage.”

While the two stars enjoy luxury surroundings in the secure building, the rest of the cast are reportedly staying in rented apartments nearby.

Renee Zellweger Turns 40 Gracefully

Renee Zellweger doesn't let age worry herRenee Zellweger insists turning 40 hasn’t affected her career.

The My One and Only star, who celebrated the landmark birthday in April, believes that her quirky appearance will always land her roles, regardless of her age.

Asked if she had noticed more exciting parts drying up, she said, “It’s so hard to comment because I don’t see it. I don’t know. I’m so spoiled with respect to the experiences I’ve had and the opportunities I’ve had that I don’t see it. I’ve never been that girl who is dependent on how fabulous my hair is or my stature or that I look good in order to work. So I don’t really think about it in those terms.”

The actress insists the only bad thing about turning 40 is that people are expecting her to feel differently about life: “I’m so sad that everyone keeps pointing to this birthday, ‘You had this birthday, how do you feel now?’ I’m thinking, ‘I feel nothing different.’”

Gerard Butler’s Poultry Present

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Hook-ups, Rumors,

Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston on The Bounty setAlthough he’s known for his wild antics on set, Gerard Butler endearingly gave Jennifer Aniston a ceramic chicken!

The 39-year-old actor stunned his The Bounty co-star with the thoughtful gift during their first day of shooting the new movie.

A source said, “Jennifer and Gerard already knew each other quite well after meeting several years ago through friends in Hollywood. On the first day of making The Bounty, Gerard had remembered that Jennifer had once told him she collected chicken memorabilia for her kitchen, so he bought her a ceramic rooster and gave it to her on set—she loved it!”

Gerard and Jennifer have not yet confirmed they are dating, but have been seen on a series of romantic dinner dates. While promoting his last movie The Ugly Truth, Gerard refused to be drawn on their relationship, but did speak glowingly about the 40-year-old actress: “She has a lot of sexy things about her. She’s really down to earth and very sharp and witty.”

Scarlett Johansson Feared Hot Iron

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Clothing,

Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow Scarlett Johansson‘s sexy Iron Man 2 catsuit was too “hot.”

The Hollywood beauty, who plays Natasha Romanoff and her alter-ego, Russian spy Black Widow, in the new superhero movie, had no qualms wearing the skin-tight outfit, but worried she would overheat while filming fight scenes.

“The first time I saw the suit I just thought, ‘That looks like it’s going to be really, really hot!’ Literally—the temperature was very hot,” she said of the costume.

Although Scarlett struggled with the stifling temperatures inside the black catsuit, the 24-year-old blonde star wants to reprise her role for another Marvel comic book adaptation: “the Black Widow has many different incarnations and different story lines so I’m hoping she will be able to continue in that way. I’m hoping that if the fans like the character and support the character, we’ll see her again.”

Scarlett’s husband Ryan Reynolds is already in talks to have his own superhero spin-off movie, based around his X-Men Origins: Wolverine character Deadpool.

Joaquin Phoenix Talks About His Look

Joaquin Phoenix recently made the shocking announcement that he was leaving his film career behind and subsequently began growing a wild, untended beard and letting his brown locks hang long. He also seems to be launching a new career as a rapper.

The actor offered some insight into his new look in .

“It’s been important for me to just do something that’s extreme—that really separates me from that public Joaquin Phoenix persona,” he explained. His look certainly is extreme. But then the actor-turned-something else added, “Maybe I’m just lazy.”

Many have said the Phoenix career switch-up is all a hoax, part of some sort of promotional effort for a documentary which, it’s said, is being created by and Phoenix. A lackluster performance given by Phoenix seems to confirm the rumors. By the way, the video of Phoenix falling off the stage is still being bandied about the Internet.

Netflix to Cease Selling Used DVDs

Netflix PicksNetflix has decided to stop selling previously viewed DVDs. Some are as low as $5.99 and include such titles at that price as “Casino Royale,” “Into the Wild,” “Charlie Wilson’s War,” “American Gangster,” and “Spiderman 3.” Of course there will also be suggestions according to your previous favorites. After November 30, they will focus on simply renting. That’s fine with us. We love the fact that we can watch a film as often or as much as we want and not have extra DVDs taking up space.

Einmnal DVD-D Disposable Movies

DVD-DWelcome to the world of expiring movies. Einmal’s DVD-Ds are only good for a 48 hour period and then the data is deleted. A few years ago, Flexplay had the same idea and used to offer titles via Amazon, although it never really caught on. If you check on Amazon’s site, you will find a “not available” and an offer from Unbox for a $2.99 rental or $9.99 price.

The discs are already in Italy, France and Scandinavia, but we are thinking with a price tag of €3.99 ($6.44,) you can head to your nearest retailer and check out the discount bin. And if you want to be really green about it, we still adore our Netflix.

Spaced Remake Snubs Creators

Posted by Shannon Bennett Categories: Comedy, Editorial,

SpacedFor fans of the original series - some of us still finding it hard to accept that there will never be a third season - the announcement that an American remake of Spaced was on the way probably didn’t raise cheers of joy.

In fact, it’s always been assumed that Granada (as it will be called) would be Americanized and Hollywoodized beyond recognition from the original genius upon which it’s based, which makes this latest piece of news all the more infuriating.

Wonderland and Warner Brothers, more specifically McG, have apparently cut , Jessica (Stevenson) Hynes, and show’s director Edgar Wright out of any participation with the show, crossing lines from avoidance to clear expression that their creative input is undesired.  A foolish gesture considering Pegg and Wright’s phenomenal American success with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and morally just all sorts of wrong.

The Oscars Backup Plan

Oscar StatuetteThe has consistently promised that, or no, the annual ceremony will in fact take place. Statements have been released. Comments have been made. And until recently, the Academy seemed to be sticking to its guns. But…just in case, they’re working on a contingency plan.

Scheduled for Feb. 24, the Oscars show we expect may not at all be the one we see. For now, the Academy is working on two different shows. The usual spectacle is still in the works, but now a second show is being planned that will include “history and packages of film and concepts” that aren’t “normally ones that we would have.” Gee, sounds great. But no matter what, they say, the show will go on. It must! How else will Hollywood honor itself?

The Academy has made contact with the in hopes of inking some sort of deal.

Jon Stewart Repeats as ‘Oscar’ Host

Jon StewartAfter cranking out a bloated and boring Oscars ceremony last February (Sorry, Ellen!)—the producers have gone back to square one.  ‘s , who helmed an extremely witty telecast two years ago, has been asked to host The 80th Annual Academy Awards.  This will be Stewart’s second time at bat.

Anyone who read our coverage of his stint knows how giddy I was about Jon Stewart’s performance.  All this time has passed, yet I can still remember him telling the audience ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ was how ended most of his dates.  (Okay—I actually read that in the previous post…but I swear it was etched in my brain).

It’s obviously too soon to say which movies will be nominated at this point—but I’m already imagining the movies Stewart could parody in his opener.  Maybe he could be deserted with Captain Jack Sparrow?  Or he could party with the boys of ?  Better yet—maybe he could do a musical number from ?

The ballots will be read Sunday, Feb. 24th on ABC.
