Released in North America Friday, the BeoSound 5 features a 10.4-inch touchscreen for browsing with a playlist and a 500GB hard drive to keep your tunes. It also will suggest other tracks/tunes based on your likings.You can get a base system for $5,900.00 but then again, you can put the money into a newer iPod and buy yourself a decent used car.

In addition to the Korean company iStation’s T3 Pmp, they have now unveiled their D3, a media e-dictionary. In addition to the handy word tool, the D3 has a 3.5-inch screen (480x320,) DMB and FM tuners, a microphone and a choice of 8, 16 and 32GB capacities. It will handle MP3, WMA, AC3, OGG, WAV, MSADPCM, FLAC, APE, MPEG1/2/4, DivX, Xvid, WMV7/8/9 , SMI, JPEG, BMP, PNG, RAW, SWF, ZIP, ALZ and CXD files. So far there is no price or date of availability.

mobiBlu has unveiled their A10 UFO MP3 Player that can link to other Bluetooth devices. It has a built-in NXT 2W flat panel speaker and can play back ASF, MP3, OGG and WMA format files. While there is no ET peeking out from the top, the player does vibrate while it performs. Its lithium-ion battery pack gives about 6 hours of play when the speaker is used, more than twice that when headphones are connected to the 3.5mm audio jack. Available in 512MB to 8GB models, the 90 x 44mm UFO comes in gloss red or black.
