In order to keep your identity safe in the very likely situation of misplacing your phone, the University of Manchester has created a sophisticated facial recognition technology called the Active Appearance modeling technique that locks in and tracks twenty-two of your facial features, even when upside down. The facial recognition technology was created as a way to access social media sites securely through your smartphone, but no word yet as far as how quickly it works in action. We’re big fans of the way that Apple has been pushing the FaceTime feature on the iPhone 4 commercials, but to be honest, we’ve never actually been able to partake in a FaceTime convo that was as touching as Apple makes them look. We broke down the iPhone 4 AT&T upgrade pricing along with the method for easily checking your iPhone upgrade eligibility for you a few days ago, but we figured we’d share the video that AT&T put together on the subject as well. Basically, it’s that odd “Seth the Blogger Guy” from AT&T talking about what you can expect as either a current or new customer as it pertains to iPhone pricing and eligibility, as well as the new DataPlus and DataPro plans.

Ellen Degeneres makes fun of iPhone, Apple cries foul
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Videos,
Apple has taken their brand control measures to a ridiculous level this week, as they’re now even targeting major television talk shows that happen to parody their devices. So basically, super funny comedienne Ellen Degeneres played a skit showing how confusing using an iPhone could be, you know, just for laughs. Apple got wind of the situation, and someone actually reached out to the Ellen Show to let them know that they didn’t appreciate it. In the video above, Ellen apologizes, saying that she loves her iPhone, her iPad, her iPod…and even IHOP. Classic.
