This just may be the ultimate way to let others know you are a true geek, even when you are in a formal situation. The iKuffs Illuminated Cufflinks glow just like the standby button of your favorite home entertainment component, and show the world your true colors - that being one of the six available. The glowing LED is available in Fusion Red, Sunset Orange, Electric Yellow, Money Green, KuL Blue, and Winter White. Flexiskin with ArmbandBoxWave’s FlexiSkin with Armband is an accessory for the iPod nano. Basically, it’s a soft, low-profile case which protects the nano while leaving access to it’s controls. The FlexiSkin looks durable enough, sort of like an iSkin for the iPod nano. The BoxWave Flexiskin is available in six colors: Cosmo Pink, Frosted Clear, Mint Green, Sherbet Orange, Smoke Grey. and Super Blue.

Boot BagOkay, odd company name and scary lady aside, this is a pretty unique product. Simply put, vlaemsch( ) has taken a rubber galosh and cut handles into it. Seeing the new invention before them, they named it the Boot Bag, hoping that it would become a staple in women’s fashion the world over. We personally haven’t seen to many women walking around carrying rubber galoshes - or wearing them for that matter - but hey, maybe it’s because they haven’t realized there is more to this boot than meets the eye. Actually, maybe not. According to the company, “Simply by making a hole n a rubber boot, the boot becomes a most original bag.” Wow.

Finger Mouse

Looking for an alternative to the every day mouse?  If so, Greenhouse Japan offers up a surprising substitute.  Dubbed the Finger Mouse, this small optical accessory is only 24.5mm wide by 85mm long and features a single button in the center which has your left click functions, and a small scroll wheel on the side that lets you scroll, and also features the ability to “right click”, giving it the same features as any regular sized mouse.  It even comes with a carrying case and extension cable for users on the go.  The new Finger Mouse comes in black, white, or silver and can be bought for under $25.

Green Day iPod Case

Check out this Green Day iPod case. I know, it is a little strange to carry around a case featuring the name of a band, but if you are a fan, this deserves a closer look. I have been testing the case for a few days, and I am impressed with the protection that it offers the iPod. I squeezed a 60 GB iPod photo into this thing, and immediately I knew that this thing could be dropped from a reasonable height without worry. The iPod pocket is lined with a very soft felt, eliminating the worry of scratching up your device by inserting and removing it from the case. The front flap covers the face of the iPod, and is held in place with a magnet just strong enough to hold the case closed - but not strong enough to get to your data.

Flipping the case open, you will find that the only portion of the iPod that is not protected is the click wheel, giving you full access to the functionality of the unit. On the underside of the flap are the words “American Idiot”. Even with a closed case, the top and bottom ports of the iPod are available for your use. The Green Day case also has an integrated belt clip, one of the few that I have seen that isn’t too bulky to be comfortable. The case is available at Circuit City, and comes with a $2 off coupon for a music purchase from the store, along with a card for two free music downloads, and a couple of fan club stickers. Check out the rest of the images after the jump.

Lexar JumpDrive Secure II

Lexar introduced the latest revision of their JumpDrive series, which includes software to help secure files.  Their software allows the user to easily drag their file to their computer into an “Encrypted Vault” which will automatically secure them with on-the-fly 256-bit AES Encryption.  Another cool feature is the Digital Shredder which allows you to leave no “digital trail” when deleting your files for maximum security.  These files are not even recoverable using the most advanced file recovery tools.  All of these features in half the size of the first series of JumpDrives.  They come in 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB flavors. A 2GB version is scheduled for release in October 2005.

iBallDefenitly one of the most uniquely designed iPod accessories we have seen - the iBall.  Made by Oregon Scientific, the iBall is a wireless speaker system that uses 2.4 GHz technology to broadcast up to 100ft.  It runs 6-8 hours after a full charge or you can plug in the AC adapter as well.  The iBall will be out later this year for a mere $300.

earbud clip

If you think you can get simpler than this, you’re wrong.  This is what I love about people who develop good accessories.  This clip unites your iPod buds to your iPod or yourself.  It’s simple and cheap in price - $9.99 for a 4 pack.  However, those of us that own iPods understand that we never know what do with the ear buds when we are going to put them away.  They almost always end up getting unbelievably tangled the next time you are going to listen to music.

DescriptionIt looks like Sennheiser has finally realized that iPod owners like people to know that they are carrying around iPods. This means that white earbuds or headphones are essential. That being the case, the company is now offering a few of their more popular portable device headphones in white. Our favorite of the bunch is the MX500w is an in-ear system with volume control built into the cable and a windup case to avoid clutter. The PX100 and PX200 are standard over-the-ear headphones, each with very nice sound reproduction, and go for $59.95 and $69.95 respectively.
